What a joyful Hari Raya celebration filled with culture and festive cheer! ๐ŸŒ™โœจ

Our little ones explored exciting live stations โ€” cooking roti jala and kari ayam, decorating their hands with beautiful henna art, and dancing together. We enjoyed the delicious food we prepared together with sweet bandung and tasted yummy Raya cookies and cakes.

Wishing all Muslim families โ€œSelamat Hari Raya Aidilfitriโ€ ! ๐ŸŒ™โœจ

๐ŸŒ™โœจ Preparing for Hari Raya Puasa โœจ๐ŸŒ™

Our little ones had so much fun getting creative as they worked on their Hari Raya crafts! From colourful decorations to festive designs, the children put in lots of effort to help brighten up our school in celebration of this special occasion.
Through the activities, they not only explored their creativity but also learned more about the meaning of Hari Raya and the joy of celebrating together.

It was a breezy and beautiful day during our learning journey to West Coast Park. We had fun watching the boats went by before getting our hands and legs busy at the playground. There were so many things to play and time really flies when we are having fun. After sweating it out, we filled out hungry tummies at MacDonalds. Just look at all our happy faces!!

๐ŸŒผ Early Signs of Motor Development: Every Little Move Matters

โ€œSmall actions may seem invisible day-to-day, but they are the foundation of development.โ€

โ€”โ€”โ€”

In the first year of life, every stretch, wiggle, kick and roll is more than just a cute moment โ€” itโ€™s your baby building the foundation for crawling, standing and eventually, walking. ๐Ÿ‘ฃโœจ

โ€œMotor development doesnโ€™t happen overnight. It happens through thousands of tiny, daily attemptsโ€

Here are some beautiful early signs that show your baby is growing stronger every day:

โธป

๐Ÿ’› 1. Reaching for Toys

When babies reach out for objects, theyโ€™re strengthening their shoulders, arm muscles and hand-eye coordination โ€” essential for grasping and feeding later on.

โธป

๐Ÿ’› 2. Rolling Over

Rolling from tummy to back (or vice versa) is an exciting milestone. It means their core muscles are waking up, building the strength needed for crawling.

โธป

๐Ÿ’› 3. Pushing Up During Tummy Time

Even short tummy-time sessions help babies:
โ€ข Lift their head
โ€ข Strengthen neck and upper body
โ€ข Improve balance
โ€ข Prepare their body for crawling and sitting

โธป

๐Ÿ’› 4. Grasping and Holding

From grabbing your finger to holding a small toy, these early grasps build grip strength, coordination and confidence.

โธป

๐Ÿ’› 5. Sitting with Support

When babies begin to hold their upper body steady, even for a second, they are developing core stability โ€” the foundation for standing and walking later on.

โธป

๐ŸŒฑThese are the precious moments that lead to the big milestones.

At BrilliantTOTs, we intentionally focus on these early foundational skills, as they shape each infantโ€™s overall development.

๐ŸŒŸ A Heartfelt Thank You to One of Our Parents ๐ŸŒŸ

As the year is coming end, and our K2 children are embarking on a new journey, we would like to share a beautiful and touching Google review from a parent whose child has journeyed with us since just 18 months old โ€” and is now graduating this year. ๐Ÿฅน๐ŸŽ“

Reading her words reminded us why we do what we do.
To see a little one grow from baby stepsโ€ฆ to confident stridesโ€ฆ to school-ready โ€” itโ€™s a privilege we never take lightly.

To this parent, and to all who place their trust in us โ€” thank you for letting us be part of your childโ€™s earliest memories, milestones and magical moments. Your trust means the world to us. ๐Ÿค

We are grateful for the partnership, the shared laughter, the learning, and the years of watching your child bloom. As they take their next step into Primary school, our hearts are full and cheering them on always. ๐ŸŒฑโœจ

Thank you for choosing us,
and for growing together with us.

๐ŸŒฑ Milestones Look Different for Every Baby

A gentle reminder for parents: development is not a race.

In the first few years of life, every baby is growing and discovering the world in their own unique way. Some babies crawl early, some walk later. Some babble non-stop, others listen quietly before speaking. One learns to hold a spoon quickly, another takes more time โ€” and all of these are perfectly normal.

Because just like flowers, children bloom at their own pace. ๐ŸŒธ

What matters most is not how fast, but how steadily they are growing.

Comparing one child to another can unintentionally create stress โ€” for parents, and even for children. Instead of looking sideways, letโ€™s look forward and celebrate progress, no matter how small.

At BrilliantTOTS, we believe:
โœจ A baby who takes time to crawl may later climb with confidence
โœจ A quiet child today may become a thoughtful communicator tomorrow
โœจ A little progress is still progress
โœจ Every milestone achieved is worth celebrating

Our role is to guide, encourage, and provide a nurturing environment where each child feels safe to explore, fall, try again, and grow โ€” happily and stress-free.

So to all parents reading this โ€”
Your baby is doing just fine. Keep cheering them on. ๐Ÿ’›
The journey is long, beautiful, and full of precious firsts. Letโ€™s enjoy it together, step by step.

๐ŸŒŸ Building Resilience Through Play ๐ŸŒŸ

At Brilliant Tots, learning goes beyond academics - we nurture life-long skills and resilience as we scaffold each childโ€™s character and confidence. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ซ

Today, our Potong Pasir Playgroup children took on an exciting challenge - figuring out how to kick the ball into the goal post! โšฝ

Through multiple attempts, the children explored, problem-solved, and discovered their own strategies to guide the ball in. For those who needed an extra boost of confidence, our teachers were right there, not to do it for them, but to guide and encourage them through the process.

Every small success (and even the misses!) helps our little ones build perseverance, confidence, and a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.

๐Ÿก How Parents Can Support at Home

Let children take part in daily routines (dressing, packing, cleaning)

Encourage active play - dancing, playground time, obstacle courses

Balance screen time with real-world movement

Talk about and praise effort (โ€œYou held the spoon so steadily!โ€)

๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ’› Is Infant Constipation Normal? How to Handle It Safely

โœ… Is it normal?

Yes, it can be. Infants โ€” especially when transitioning to formula, starting solids, or even during growth spurts โ€” may experience constipation. Their digestive system is still maturing, so occasional difficulty passing stools can happen.

But parents should still observe closely.

โธป

๐Ÿผ How to Help an Infant with Constipation

1. Gentle Stomach Massage
โ€ข Massage the tummy in a clockwise direction.
โ€ข Helps move gas and stool along the intestines.

2. Leg Cycling Exercise
โ€ข Move babyโ€™s legs in a โ€œbicycleโ€ motion.
โ€ข Encourages bowel movement by stimulating muscles.

3. Warm Bath
โ€ข A warm bath relaxes their abdominal muscles.
โ€ข Sometimes stools pass right after a warm soak.

4. For Formula-fed Babies: Check the Formula
โ€ข Sometimes constipation happens due to formula change or concentration.
โ€ข Ensure the correct formula-to-water ratio.
โ€ข If persistent, parents can discuss with their pediatrician about trying a gentler formula.

5. If Baby Has Started Solids
โ€ข Offer purees that support digestion like:
๐Ÿ Pear
๐Ÿ‘ Peach
๐ŸŽ Apple
๐Ÿฅฆ Broccoli
๐Ÿฅ• Pumpkin
โ€ข Avoid constipating foods temporarily (banana, rice cereal).

6. Increase Water Intake (if above 6 months)

A few sips of water can help soften stools.

โธป

โ—๏ธWhen to Seek Medical Advice

Parents should see a doctor if baby has:
โ€ข Constipation lasting more than 3โ€“5 days
โ€ข Hard, pellet-like stools consistently
โ€ข Blood in stool
โ€ข Severe bloating
โ€ข Vomiting
โ€ข Fever
โ€ข Poor feeding or unusual fussiness

โธป

๐Ÿ’› Simple Reminder for Parents

Constipation alone is usually not dangerous, but infants cannot express discomfort clearly, so itโ€™s important to act early and gently.
With the right support, they usually recover quickly.

๐ŸŒŸ Building Kind Hearts, One Story at a Time! ๐ŸŒŸ

At Brilliant Tots, character building is just as important as academics.

Our children listened to heartwarming stories about sharing and kindness - learning that even the smallest act can make someoneโ€™s day brighter.

After the storytelling session, the children reflected and wrote about how they have shared or spread kindness with the people around them - from sharing toys with friends to helping mummy at home. ๐Ÿงธ๐Ÿ’Œ
