Job Description:
As a metaverse company, World Overlay is looking for a unity developer to create, develop and
maintain its projects.
With the changing needs of the markets, one is required to be quick to adapt. One needs to be
flexible with designing and developing the features of the projects. In addition, further flexibility and
time management is required if multiple projects must be handled when transitioning between
projects.
World Overlay wants someone with a discerning eye for details, an analytically trained eye to pick
out flaws in project design plans. Hopefully, they’d also have a constant thirst to understand and
learn more about the limits of Unity and think out of the box to circumvent those limits.
Dev Role’s Key Outcomes:
● Develop projects based on user and business needs
o Contribute to the development process by offering your own opinions and
suggestions to improve the quality of codebase and product
● Ensure that contributions to codebase are be futureproofed and of high quality
● Ensure that expected deliverables (features, documents, etc) are delivered timely and are of
a high standard.
● Work together with a variety of designers, such as Artists (3D modelers, animators), other
software developers to develop the project and coordinate plans according to Scrum
● Produce all documentation required (e.g., sequence diagrams, game design documents,
technical design documents, user stories, flow charts)
● Willing to be standby before and after an update/showcase goes live
Dev Role’s Daily Responsibilities:
● Rapid prototyping to ensure that project is usable and gain quick feedback for the
development cycle
● Design the structure of the project so that code written is flexible, maintainable, reusable
and reliable
● Able to translate ideas into features
● Able to read pre-existing codebase and fix bugs that may crop up from the codebase
● Scrum Dailies to report tasks completed, what one will be working on next, one’s learnings
and roadblocks
