Calling all School of Engineering Students! You are invited to participate in Power of Engineering Competition.
Form a team of 2 to 5 students from SEG.
Build a foldable bridge (48 cm to 50 cm long, and 14 cm to 15 cm wide) with engineering concept by using recycled materials, such as wooden chopsticks, popsicles sticks, paper, glue, etc, within a budget of $20.
Judging criteria:
1) Stability - (45%)
Marble Load will be placed in the middle of the bridge till the bridge starts to become unstable. The more marbles will be a better score
2) Ease of Assembly - (25%)
Time to assemble and disassemble the bridge will be recorded.
The shorter the time will be a better score.
3) Visual Aesthetics - (15%)
Judges decision
4) Creativity – (15%)
Practical use of Engineering principles and concepts.
