EGPS CELEBRATES – NURSES DAY CELEBRATIONS AT WOODLANDS HEALTH

In celebration of Nurses Day, Evergreen Primary School was honoured to partner with Woodlands Hospital in recognising and appreciating our healthcare heroes.

Earlier in July, our Primary 3 to Primary 6 students attended a special assembly by nurses from Woodlands Hospital. Through their inspiring stories and sharing, students gained a deeper understanding of the nursing profession and discovered that nurses do much more than provide medical care—they are caregivers, educators, advocates and a source of comfort and hope for patients and their families.

Inspired by what they had learnt, students designed colourful mini fan tokens and penned heartfelt messages of appreciation during their Back to School lessons. On 31 July, these tokens were brought to Woodlands Hospital and personally presented to the nurses as a heartfelt expression of gratitude.

As part of the celebration, our students also served as Game Masters, leading fun and interactive games to bring smiles, laughter and encouragement to the nurses. It was a meaningful opportunity for our students to give back, connect with the community and honour those who care for others every day.

EGPS LEARNS - OUR PEOPLE, OUR TAPESTRY (RACIAL HARMONY DAY 2026)

This Racial Harmony Day, our Evergreenians celebrated the theme “Our People, Our Tapestry”, learning how every culture and individual adds colour and strength to the fabric of our nation.

Through the skit 'The Race', students discovered the importance of respect, kindness and unity in strengthening our social fabric—reminding us that united we stand, divided we fall.

During recess, students experienced Singapore’s rich cultural heritage through hands-on activities such as Chinese knot tying, Indian oil lamp painting and Malay ketupat weaving.

The learning continued during Social Studies and CCE lessons, including FTGP and MTL, where students explored cultural motifs and reflected on how they can contribute towards building an inclusive and harmonious Singapore.

Together, let us celebrate our diversity and continue weaving a stronger, kinder and more united Singapore! 🇸🇬

EGPS LEARNS - BRINGING MANDARIN LEARNING TO LIFE! 🐇✨

Our Primary 3 students enjoyed an exciting Mandarin theatre experience under the Chinese Performing Arts Enrichment Scheme (CPES), where they watched The Arrogant Little White Rabbit.

Through colourful characters, lively performances and a captivating storyline, our students were immersed in the Chinese language while discovering valuable lessons on humility, kindness and teamwork.

It was a meaningful learning experience that brought Mandarin beyond the classroom, sparked students’ interest in the language and deepened their appreciation of Chinese culture. 🌟
