As a professional Feng Shui consultant, my work is not only about analysing one house, one office, or one floor plan.

A big part of my work is studying the larger environment.

Shopping malls, commercial buildings, mixed-use developments, roads, entrances, open spaces, water features, lifts, corridors, and human movement.

Because in Feng Shui, the external environment always comes first.

When I explore a new mall or development, I am studying which blocks are stronger, which stacks receive better qi, and which units have better potential for wealth, visibility, business activity, and long-term stability.

This is not casual walking around.

It is field observation.

It is property comparison.

It is strategic Feng Shui analysis.

Many people focus too much on the internal Flying Star chart, but true Feng Shui starts from the external environment first.

The surrounding landform, road structure, neighbouring buildings, and how the house receives and contains qi will always determine the real quality and potential of the property.

There is a Chinese saying,
“峦头不真，理气无用”

It means if the landform is not right, then internal qi calculations alone do not tell the full story.

Only when the external environment is properly understood, then we know how to tap on the qi of the house, where its strengths are, where its weaknesses are, and what must be managed first.

This allows us to identify the root of the issues, so the right Feng Shui adjustments can be applied to mitigate weaknesses, strengthen the house’s support, and bring out its maximum potential.

That is why a proper Feng Shui assessment should always start from the outside in.

Fortunate to audit a truly exceptional unit in prime District 10.

The home has strong Feng Shui fundamentals, with a well-formed Bright Hall (明堂), built in the right period, and both the main door and balcony receiving positive incoming Qi. Despite its central location, the environment remains peaceful and quiet, creating a stable, solid and harmonious energy that supports long-term residence and wealth accumulation.

Good Feng Shui begins with visible forms, but its true quality is revealed through how the space feels over time. This unit carries a steady, nourishing energy that remains stable rather than volatile.

Many homes contain a hidden gem that has yet to be fully activated. When the external environment and internal layout align, the space quietly supports the people living within it and the opportunities that come their way.

Designing and synchronising the external environment into the new structure from the very beginning. When rebuilding, alignment with landform and surrounding forms is essential.

This first site visit allows a deep understanding of the terrain, frontage and overall energy flow before construction begins.
