People who think Montessori is not structured have it all wrong! Montessori is an exceptionally structured approach. That’s why true Montessorians are so particular about every little thing. It has been ingrained into our system.

Observations are key if you want to be a good teacher. Alternatively, we need to have a really good mentor to guide you through the initial days.

I completely understand and resonate with parents who want their child to succeed, academically.

Academics, while many people say is not very important at the early age, does shape the way people view you when you enter primary school and if the teacher feels that you’re not prepared, that’s the first time your confidence takes a hit.

And then it progressively gets harder and harder to believe in yourself as a 7 year-old.

At Innate we just want the child to be prepared for academics because everything else can be easily taken care of by the parents.

Once the child is more confident, teachers in primary school, with appreciate their work, peers will look up to them, and the child has an Innate sense of confidence in them.

That’s why I always suggest to get a very good teacher to take care of the child’s, academics, so that parents can focus on other aspects of their lives, such as sports music and the like.

I really hope more parents will aim for getting a good teacher, rather than someone to just take care of their child for a few hours.
