where learning took place beyond the classrooms. From heritage tours to community youth leadership projects, our students got a chance to step into the real world and enhance their problem-solving and communication skills. Coming together to appreciate culture and give back to our community certainly filled our studentsโ hearts with gratitude. They also bonded as a class through their class cohesion activities planned by their class committees and teachers. What an eventful week 10!
Happy June Holidays! ๐

Yesterday, we recognised the commitment, resilience, and service of our Secondary 4/5 student leaders. At the same time, we marked the beginning of a new chapter for the newly appointed Secondary 3 leaders, who will now carry forward the responsibilities of student leadership in West Spring Sec.
As our incoming student council president, Iniesta Lee aptly shared in his speech, โWhen one of us steps forward, we all move forward.โ Hereโs to our Secondary 3 leaders stepping forward and making a positive difference! And a big thank you to our outgoing Secondary 4/5 student leaders.

WSSS Secondary 1 Outdoor Adventure Camp 2026 happened last week! ๐๏ธ
Over 4 eventful days and 3 nights, our Sec 1 students set forth to Sarimbun Scout Camp for a dynamic series of outdoor activities that aim to build resilience, teamwork and care for one another. From high and low elements, land and sea expedition to outdoor cooking, our students gamely stepped out of their comfort zone. As the camp went by, it was evident that our students strengthened their sense of camaraderie and teamwork among each other.
The camp culminated in a lively campfire night. ๐ฅ ๐ชต Cheers filled the air as we got to see performances by our classes, camp facilitators and even, teachers! Parents had an opportunity to catch a glimpse of camp life as well.
On Friday afternoon, students returned to school with unforgettable memories, a newfound perspective on learning and a stronger foundation for their journey in WSSS.
Psstโฆ scroll to the end to see our best campers lead a cheer for the camp facilitators! ๐ฃ๏ธ

On 13 March, we ended off an eventful term 1 by celebrating our awardees at the School Excellence Awards (SEA) ceremony. As highlighted by our principal who shared this quote by John Dewey, โEducation is not preparation for life, education is life itself.โ
Just as we celebrate our students who have done well in academics and leadership and our dedicated teachers for their long service, let us all remember to continue learning and reflect on our learning.
Thank you to all parents and guardians who graced our ceremony, and to our Symphonic Band and International Dance club for your captivating performances! Congratulations to all awardees! ๐
To our staff, teachers and students, have a restful and reflective March holidays!
