Thank you students and organising teachers for the awesome celebration today! The student council prepared personalised gifts and printed out messages from students. The class committees planned class parties and made it unforgettable for the FTs! The emcees and performers set the mood and entertained us during the concert.
It all came together so well.

๐ŸŽต PassionArts Festival: National Day Celebration 2026 ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ

On 8 August, 6:30 to 9:30 pm, our Choir had the privilege of performing at the PassionArts Festival National Day Celebration, held at Zhenghua Community Club. It was an evening of music and community in honour of Singaporeโ€™s 61st birthday.

The event was graced by Mr. Edward Chia, Adviser to Holland-Bukit Timah GRC GROs (Zhenghua).

Marking their first public performance, the Choir took to the stage with poise and confidence, delivering two songs, โ€˜Lean on Meโ€™ and โ€˜Homeโ€™. We are incredibly proud of their dedication and the heart they brought to this milestone occasion. โญ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Big shoutout to all our students and teachers involved in the Uniformed Groups, Infocomm Club, and the Band for the amazing parade ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ Your hard work, discipline, and dedication really brought the National Day spirit to life and made the celebration extra special.

Another huge thank you to the International Dance, Drama Club, Choir, pianists, singers and our emcees for keeping the energy up throughout the celebration! From the performances to the quiz, you all brought so much fun, talent, and excitement to the day โœจ

This week, we also had a special sharing from Mr Reuben about the significance of our national pledge, and had the rare chance of reciting our pledge in Malay, Tamil and Chinese. It was truly a meaningful experience.

This week, our students participated in two concurrent workshops โ€” the top two choices from our recent interest poll!

One group delved into K-Pop dance, learning foundational moves, tutting techniques, and choreography to the viral hit Boompala, while the other explored the cultural heritage of Silat and its influence on Malay dance and everyday movement. where learning took place beyond the classrooms. From heritage tours to community youth leadership projects, our students got a chance to step into the real world and enhance their problem-solving and communication skills. Coming together to appreciate culture and give back to our community certainly filled our studentsโ€™ hearts with gratitude. They also bonded as a class through their class cohesion activities planned by their class committees and teachers. What an eventful week 10!

Our Sec 2 Science students rose to the challenge of designing and building a marble run using only cardboard materials!

They put their critical thinking and creativity to the test, engineering their runs to keep the marble rolling for 15 to 20 seconds โ€” no easy feat!

The students had a great time exploring different designs and collaborating with one another. Check out their marble runs in action!

Yesterday, we recognised the commitment, resilience, and service of our Secondary 4/5 student leaders. At the same time, we marked the beginning of a new chapter for the newly appointed Secondary 3 leaders, who will now carry forward the responsibilities of student leadership in West Spring Sec.

As our incoming student council president, Iniesta Lee aptly shared in his speech, โ€œWhen one of us steps forward, we all move forward.โ€ Hereโ€™s to our Secondary 3 leaders stepping forward and making a positive difference! And a big thank you to our outgoing Secondary 4/5 student leaders.
