๐ŸŒฟ PAX ET BONUM!! ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ
Inspired by Franciscan spirituality, this year's retreat brought us together through exciting challenges ๐Ÿ’ช, meaningful conversations ๐Ÿ’ฌ and moments of reflection โœ๏ธ. Through the lives of the Franciscan saints, we discovered that peace, joy, humility and love are not just ideals of the pastโ€”they are values we can live out every day.

As we reflect on these values, we are reminded that true joy is found not in what we have, but in how we love โค๏ธ, serve ๐Ÿค and walk with one another. May the spirit of Pax et Bonum continue to guide us long after the retreat has ended. โœจ

๐ŸŽ‰ CELEBRATING OUR STARS!! ๐ŸŒŸ
Congratulations to all our award recipients at this yearโ€™s Honours Day Ceremony! ๐Ÿ‘โœจ Together, we celebrated not only academic excellence, but also the perseverance, growth and character demonstrated by our students throughout the year. The evening was also enlivened by inspiring performances from our Performing Arts groups, whose passion and talent lit up the stage ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ’ƒ. A special thank you to our student emcees, who guided the programme with confidence and professionalism ๐ŸŽค!

Through the sharing by our Guest-of-Honour, we were reminded that while there will always be people who may be better than us in certain areas, success is not about being number one. Rather, it is about pursuing healthy excellence, using our gifts to serve others and continuing to grow with confidence, purpose and grace ๐ŸŒฑ. Life will inevitably bring setbacks, disappointments and challenges, but these need not define us. With resilience, faith and the support of those around us, we can move forward stronger, wiser and more grounded ๐Ÿค.

As we celebrate our achievements, may we continue to support one another as IJ sisters, grow into Women of Distinction and live out the IJ spirit in all that we do ๐Ÿ’™.

๐Ÿ’™ HEARTS IN ACTION!! โœจ
For VIA Day, our Sec 2 and 3 students stepped beyond the classroom and into the community, partnering with various organisations across Singapore ๐Ÿค to serve, learn and connect.

Through meaningful activities and interactions, they discovered that service is more than offering a helping hand. It is about building relationships โค๏ธ, understanding different perspectives ๐Ÿ‘€ and making a difference in the lives of others, one small act at a time.

Our Sec 1 students embarked on a meaningful journey of service through the VIA Workshop and inaugural VIA Fair. By engaging in thoughtful conversations with community partners, they gained a deeper appreciation of the diverse needs and strengths within our community ๐Ÿ˜๏ธ, inspiring them to become compassionate changemakers ๐ŸŒฑ.

These experiences provided valuable opportunities for our students to grow in compassion โค๏ธ, humility ๐ŸŒผ and responsibility โญ, while deepening their understanding of what it means to serve with purpose ๐ŸŽฏ and lead with empathy ๐Ÿ’•.

Thank you to our community partners ๐Ÿ™ for journeying with us and for creating meaningful opportunities for our students to live out the IJ spirit in action ๐Ÿ’™.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ IJ UNSCRIPTED #5: MY MEMORIES OF SCHOOL ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ

Four stories. One legacy. One IJ spirit.โ€ โœจ

From quiet beginnings to lives of purpose, we have journeyed with our CHIJ alumnae as they shared how they lead, serve and inspire in their own unique ways.

Each moment captured - each reflection, each smile, each word - reminds us that the IJ spirit is not confined to the past, but continues to live and grow through every woman who has walked these halls. ๐Ÿ’™

As we celebrate Founderโ€™s Day in school, we are reminded of the vision that began it all - and how it continues to unfold in every IJ girl today and every IJ woman beyond.

To our community:
May we continue to honour this legacy not only in memory, but in how we live it each day. ๐ŸŒธ

Once an IJ girl, always an IJ girl. ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿšฃโ€โ™€๏ธPADDLING WITH HEART!!๐Ÿ’™
Our NCC (Sea) cadets participated at this yearโ€™s National Inter-School Dragon Boat Competition across three categories โ€” the NCC category, the โ€˜Cโ€™ Division and โ€˜Bโ€™ Division.

In the NCC Category, our girls proudly retained their 1st and 3rd place finishes ๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿฅ‰, which is a continued testament to the strength, teamwork, and excellence of CHIJ NCC (Sea) in water sports. Facing strong competition from schools across Singapore, our cadets in both the โ€˜Cโ€™ and โ€˜Bโ€™ Division clinched 4th place.

Beyond the final placing, this achievement reflects the months of rigorous training, discipline, resilience and determination that brought them there. Our girls paddled with grit and heart, giving their all till the very last stroke. ๐Ÿ’ช Swipe right to see them in action - they're Boat 5!

We give thanks and glory to God for His grace, protection and strength throughout the competition season. ๐Ÿ™ We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our teachers and instructors for their unwavering guidance, and our schoolmates for their constant encouragement throughout this journey.

Well done, IJ! ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ IJ UNSCRIPTED #4: REAL STORIES, REAL WOMEN ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ

โ€˜A Woman of Distinction must have both character and virtue and also kindnessโ€™ โœจ
This week, we feature Dr Tham Kwang Wei, who continues to lead, serve and inspire through her journey beyond CHIJ.

In the way she lives and gives, we see the IJ spirit in action - quiet strength, compassion in service, and the courage to make a difference in the lives of others. ๐Ÿ’™

To our IJ girls:
The little things you do today - the way you care, lead and uplift - will shape the kind of woman you become tomorrow. ๐ŸŒธ

As we journey towards Founderโ€™s Day, we honour a legacy that lives on through every IJ woman, in every act of purpose and heart.
Once an IJ girl, always an IJ girl. ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿ“ฑCYBER SMART, CYBER SAFE!! ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ
Social media helps us connect, learn and share with others ๐ŸŒโœจ, but it is also important for us to use it wisely and responsibly. Through our Cyber Wellness activities, interactive games ๐ŸŽฎ and sharing sessions by our very own Tech Champs ๐Ÿ’ป, we reflected on how habits such as doomscrolling, oversharing and constant comparison can affect mental well-being and self-esteem, before culminating in an engaging assembly programme. โœจ

We also learnt more about online safety and how we can play our part in building a safer and kinder digital community. ๐Ÿ’™ From setting healthy screen-time limits โฐ to protecting personal information ๐Ÿ”’, communicating respectfully online ๐Ÿ’ฌ and thinking carefully before posting ๐Ÿ“ฑ, we were reminded that every action online matters.

May we continue to stay safe, stay informed and use social media wisely with care for ourselves and others. โœจ

๐ŸŒŸ HEROES AMONG US ๐ŸŒŸย
ย
Project HERO (Hope, Efficacy, Resilience and Optimism) Roadshow returned with a meaningful reminder that well-being is not just about getting through difficult moments, but also about learning how to care for ourselves and one another every day. ๐Ÿ’™ย
ย
From exploring digital wellness through interactive games with TOUCH Cyber Wellness๐Ÿ“ฑ, to creating calming snow globes with Care Corner โ„๏ธ, painting messages of encouragement and busting myths about mental health with Beyond the Label๐ŸŽจ, and picking uplifting notes from our Motivational Wall ๐Ÿ’Œ contributed by students and staff, we spent the day slowing down, reflecting, connecting and supporting one another.ย
ย
A gentle reminder that even on difficult days, there will always be support around us ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป And most importantly โ€” no one journeys alone. ๐Ÿ’™ ย
