Hwa Chong Model ASEAN Summit - HCMAS Our participants consist of about 100 students from local and overseas schools in the Southeast Asian region.

Founded in 2007, the Hwa Chong ASEAN Summit aims to offer a simulation of the annual ASEAN Summit held in Southeast Asia through the provision of a platform for debate on pertinent issues in the region. The Summit runs for 5 days and is entirely organised by Hwa Chong Students and simulates the typical MUN format – except that it is modelled after ASEAN instead of the UN. Students are divided into

delegations to represent the various ASEAN countries, and the delegations are then further divided into councils (such as Economics, Environment, Human Rights, for example) where they simulate ASEAN debates. At the end of 5 days, they will draft resolutions for the issues discussed.

Logistics students who tirelessly ensured that everything the Secretariat needed were supplied in time - notepaper, political acting, aDaPtOrS, and general whatnots! Thank you , Roy and !
