For this year’s Deepavali celebration, children from various ethnic backgrounds arrived at school dressed in their favorite festive outfits to join in the festivities. They learned about Deepavali traditions and took part in activities like dancing and sampling a variety of traditional Indian snacks. At the end of the day, they took home their handmade Deepavali crafts.

On behalf of EduGarden, we extend our warmest wishes to all Hindus for a joyous Deepavali. May this festival inspire us to overcome darkness with light and follow the path of goodness. May this divine occasion fill your life with peace, happiness, and prosperity.

This Children’s Day, we embarked on a joyful journey brimming with laughter, creativity, and learning! We began by gathering the children and asking them what they thought we were celebrating. Their eager responses set the perfect tone for a day of excitement and discovery.

Our first activity was a colorful adventure where the children lay on soft mattresses and reached into a box filled with vibrant balls. They had to arrange the balls according to the colorful circles on the floor. Their enthusiasm and problem-solving skills were on full display as they strategized to complete the task.

Next, we introduced a fun challenge: blindfolded snack scooping! Armed with spatulas, the children navigated the floor, trying to gather snacks and sweets without the benefit of sight. Their giggles and cheers filled the room as they balanced fun and strategy, demonstrating teamwork and adaptability in this light-hearted competition.

The final game was a guessing challenge based on snack patterns. With four different snacks hidden in a box, the kids had to identify and arrange them in the correct order. This activity fostered critical thinking and problem-solving skills, all while ensuring they had a blast.

The joy and laughter that filled the day were truly contagious. Each game brought new moments of excitement, making this Children’s Day an unforgettable celebration. We are grateful to have shared this special day with such wonderful children, reminding us of the importance of play, creativity, and togetherness!

“Floral/Beach Party for the Infants!”

Our infants had a delightful Children’s Day celebration filled with fun and engaging gross motor activities. The older infants were especially captivated by the colorful balls hanging above them, eagerly reaching out and carefully selecting their favorite ones. Their curiosity and focus on each color brought excitement to the activity.

For the younger infants, our educarers attached vibrant balls to a mobile. The little ones gazed in wonder, watching each ball with fascination as they developed their visual and cognitive skills.

Music and movement added to the fun, with the infants joyfully swaying, stomping, clapping, and mimicking the educarers’ actions. Their giggles and bright smiles filled the room, making it a memorable celebration for all.

We loved every moment of their happiness! Happy Children’s Day to our little ones!”

"Fitness Day was filled with laughter, excitement, and plenty of active play as the children took on a variety of fun challenges! They raced with balls through hoops, showing off their speed and coordination, and hopped through the hula hoop jumping race to the cheers of their friends. The sponge-squeezing game added a splash of friendly competition, as teams raced to fill their buckets, while the water bomb passing game had everyone working together to prevent the balloons from bursting!

For the infants, the day kicked off with joyful dancing to warm-up songs, setting a fun and lively tone! The little ones enjoyed a playful scooping ball game, crawled through the tunnel maze with delight, and had a blast peeling off tape in a hands-on challenge. It was a day full of giggles, movement, and discovery, as they explored fitness through engaging, age-appropriate games.

The entire day was a celebration of teamwork, physical activity, and pure joy, where the children embraced fitness through play and learned the importance of staying active while having fun!"

Teachers’ Day is a special occasion to recognize and appreciate the dedication and hard work of educators. It’s a time for parents and students to express their gratitude and celebrate the vital role teachers play in shaping our society.

On this day, we embraced the playful spirit of our Educarers, encouraging them to reconnect with their inner child. Infants joined in the fun, engaging with their Educarers using balloons and bubbles. The little ones joyfully tossed balloons to their Educarers and eagerly popped bubbles blown for them. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the parents who shared their love and appreciation on our Appreciation Wall.

Field Trip to Nippon Koi Farm! 🐟

The Edugarden teachers and children recently embarked on an exciting educational field trip to Nippon Koi Farm, perfectly aligned with our monthly theme of sea creatures. This trip offered a wonderful opportunity for the children to learn about and observe various fish species up close. Nippon Koi Farm prepared an engaging educational tour for us, and everyone was eager to participate in the activities.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a stunning display of large Koi fish. The children enjoyed an interactive presentation where they learned about the different types of Koi fish and their unique features. Additionally, the children were introduced to environmentally friendly farming methods, specifically how Nippon Koi Farm uses the aquaponic system to raise fish such as Dory Patin, Jade Perch, and Tilapia. The children discovered that these fish are grown without hormones or antibiotics, making them a healthy source of essential nutrients. They also learned that Nippon Koi Farm cultivates a variety of pesticide-free vegetables, including Naibai, Xiaobai Cai, Aquacress, Brazilian Spinach, and Edible Hibiscus, all of which are rich in vitamin C and iron, perfect for adding to soups and salads.

Our next activity was a tour of the largest Koi farm in Singapore. We explored numerous small ponds, known as “hotels,” where Koi fish are grouped by breed and age. As the fish mature, they are moved to larger “hotels.” During the tour, one of the farmers caught a large American bulldog frog, allowing the children to observe it up close and even touch it. The farmer also caught a yabby, and despite its sharp features, the children were able to explore and feel its texture safely.

Following the tour, we had the chance to feed the “dancing” fish. The farmer poured pellets into our hands, and as we tossed them into the pond, the fish began to dance, splashing water everywhere. The children had a blast feeding these lively fish. For the final activity, the children participated in a game where they carefully transferred baby shrimp from one container to another. They showed great bravery and successfully moved all the shrimp.

To wrap up the trip, we ended with a quiz session. The children enthusiastically participated and were rewarded with prizes. Everyone received a packet of fresh watercress to take home. We hope everyone had an amazing and enjoyable time at Nippon Koi Farm!

National Day Celebration 🇸🇬❤️**

Photo Album 2

This year, we celebrated Singapore's 59th National Day with a special event outside the center. Everyone came dressed in red and white or sporting Singaporean-themed outfits, adding to the festive spirit!

We kicked off the celebration by singing the National Anthem and reciting Singapore's pledge. The children were filled with energy as they danced and sang along to the National Day theme song. Even our little ones joined in, waving their Singapore flags during the dance.

Next, we took a joyful walk around the neighborhood. Each child received a Singapore flag, which they waved proudly while singing along to National Day songs.

The fun continued with two exciting games. The first was a puzzle challenge where the children matched pieces to form images of iconic Singapore attractions like the Merlion and Marina Bay Sands. The second was an obstacle course, where the children crossed sticks, hopped into hoops, and crawled under tables. At the end of the course, they joyfully shouted, "I love Singapore!"

The celebration was a wonderful time for both children and teachers, filled with laughter and patriotism. We wish everyone a Happy 59th National Day, Singapore! 🇸🇬
