3️⃣ Pick ONE thing to fix first.
Not 10 topics.
Not the entire syllabus.

One clear weakness → one clear action.

4️⃣ Use September wisely.
The September Holiday is not about squeezing in endless papers. It’s about targeted revision.

Your child may look “bo chup”.

But underneath that?
They might simply be thinking: “I don’t know how to get better.”

That’s where the right support matters. ❤️

Don’t turn September into a month of panic.

Turn it into a month of focused progress.

“But I already did my best…”
What do you say when your child says this after a disappointing result?

Your instinct might be:
❌ “You should have studied more.”
❌ “Where did you lose your marks?”
❌ “Your friends did better.”

But pause.

Sometimes, your child doesn’t need “try harder.”
They need space to breathe. 🫶

Let them feel sad.
Let them be quiet.
Let them decompress.

Try saying:
❤️ “I know you're disappointed. Take your time. I'm here when you're ready.”

Space doesn't mean giving up.

It means giving your child room to process.

Whether you're preparing for PSLE, O-Level or EOY, a low score doesn't always mean MORE worksheets.

Sometimes they need:

Before you check your child’s Prelim or WA3 results again, read this.

It’s 10:30 PM. Your child is asleep. Their desk is still covered with PSLE assessment books, Prelim papers, or O-Level practice sets. You look at the marks. Lower than expected. Your heart drops.

“Where did we go wrong?”
“Have we started too late?”
“Will my child make it?”

Take a breath. Your child’s score is information. Lower Prelims results do not automatically mean a poor PSLE or O-Level result. Prelims are often designed to expose gaps and stretch students.

Before adding another class, try this instead:

🌱 Bring Science into everyday life.

This video was inspired by something we hear from students ALL the time:
“Tomato is a vegetable.”
“Chilli is a vegetable.”

And honestly… we get it. 😂

We eat them like vegetables, so why wouldn’t they be?

But scientifically…

🍅 Tomato = FRUIT
🌶️ Chilli = FRUIT

Here’s the interesting part. In Science, we don’t classify plants simply by how we eat them. We look at their structures and how they develop.

And suddenly… a simple trip to the supermarket becomes a PSLE Science lesson.

💡 This is why we always tell parents:

The best Science learning doesn’t only happen in assessment books.

It happens when children start noticing Science in the world around them.
🛒 At the supermarket
🍽️ While preparing dinner
🌱 In the garden
☕ During everyday conversations

Instead of immediately giving your child the answer, try asking:

Can I say something that might surprise you?
Maybe they don't.
Many children struggle with PSLE Math not because they lack tuition.
