It was a meaningful morning at BMSS as Merahans came together for the National Day celebrations and our 58th Speech and Prize-Giving Day. โจ
The morning began with the National Day Observance Ceremony, featuring a stirring marching parade by our Uniformed Groups๐บ๐ฅ. Through the National Day message and the โRecollectionsโ, Merahans reflected on Singaporeโs journey and what it means to be part of our nation. ๐ธ๐ฌ The ceremony also recognised our Recycling Award winners โป๏ธ๐, celebrating classes that showed a strong commitment to recycling and sustainability โ a reminder that small actions can contribute to a greener Singapore. ๐ฑ
The focus then turned to our Speech and Prize-Giving Day, where 2025 graduands returned to BMSS to receive well-deserved recognition for their academic achievements. ๐๐ It was a warm homecoming as they celebrated alongside proud parents, teachers and juniors. โบ๏ธ๐ Earlier in the week, our Secondary 1 to 3 students for the 2025 academic year were also recognised through a smaller prize-giving ceremony. ๐
After the formal programme, the celebrations continued with a lively carnival. ๐ช๐ Our Secondary Two students hosted VIA game booths designed to promote inclusivity and empathy, while the futsal tournament โฝ brought high energy and friendly rivalry to the court. To keep the festivities going, students refuelled at live food stations serving freshly-made popcorn ๐ฟ, cotton candy ๐ญ, mini donuts ๐ฉ, dragon beard candy ๐ฌ, and cheesy nachos ๐ง. The excitement continued with a variety of interactive stations which included a henna stall ๐จ hosted by dedicated parent volunteers, a refreshing fruit bar ๐, and a photo booth ๐ธ where students captured memorable moments throughout the day.
It was a warm morning of celebration, bringing together students, staff, families, and alumni to recognise achievement, enjoy each otherโs company, and celebrate National Day as a Merahan family. ๐
