子曰：“學而不思則罔，思而不學則殆。”
(zǐ yuē: xué ér bù sī zé wǎng, sī ér bù xué zé dài.)
The Master said, “Learning without thought is labor lost; thought without learning is perilous.”
Learning does not happen by just reading a text, we also need to use thought to make sense of it and consider how to apply it to our lives.
