On 9 June, Odyssey Dance Theatre Ltd marked its 27th anniversary.

This breathtaking multidisciplinary dance spectacle brings together award winning artists aged 50 and above from Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam, alongside 25 senior community performers, in a powerful celebration of life, humanity and resilience.

Featuring electrifying Singapore contemporary dance, live original music by ODT Music Ensemble, immersive performance art and stunning cinematic visuals, the world premiere at Victoria Theatre invites audiences into a future transformed by climate change, where renewal, hope and the human spirit rise against all odds.

Bold, visually spectacular and deeply moving, this landmark production is poised to become a new Singaporean classic before embarking on an international tour across six countries in Asia and Europe.

We are pleased to share Dr Danny Tan’s continued involvement over three years in the NTU Talent Scholarship, contributing to the development of emerging talents in the pursuit of arts excellence. We are pleased to share reflections from Taipei National University of the Arts, where Dr Danny Tan reconnected with Lee Ching Chun, Associate Artistic Director of Cloud Gate Dance Theatre, alongside former company dancers involved in mounting Lin Hwai Min’s work with Year 3 dance students.

Through this educational encounter, the vitality of emerging artists was felt in the studio, affirming the value of dialogue, mentorship and cross cultural learning in dance education. Appreciation to Professor Chen Tsai for the warm hospitality and to Ms Lin Ya-Wen for helping lead this meaningful exchange.
