Meet Junrick (19 years old, Grade 7) and Jomar (15 years old, Grade 4).

I met them last week during my visit to their school in Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro. To reach the school, we had to walk for hours through the mountains and got completely soaked in the rain along the way.Junrick and Jomar are just two of the many children who walk long distances every day to attend school. Many of them do not have raincoats or umbrellas to protect themselves, especially now that the rainy and typhoon season is approaching.

For just $5, you can sponsor a raincoat or an umbrella for a child, helping them get to school safely and comfortably so they can focus on their education instead of worrying about the weather.
