☀️ French Summer Podcast List ☀️
Dear Families,
Summer is here, and while school may be on break, French can continue naturally through stories, songs, and meaningful listening experiences.
To help keep the language alive throughout the summer, we have prepared a selection of French-language podcasts for children aged 2 to 6. These podcasts encourage imagination, curiosity, language development, and emotional well-being while offering enjoyable moments for the whole family.
Whether during a road trip, a quiet afternoon, or bedtime, we hope these podcasts will bring a little French into your summer days.
Happy listening! 🇸🇬 ☀️

💚 Why Are All the Materials in a Montessori Activity the Same Color?
Have you noticed that many Montessori activities are designed with matching colors throughout the entire set?
This is intentional.
A consistent color creates a visual cue that helps children recognize that all the items belong together as one activity. Even before reading labels or receiving instructions, children can easily identify what belongs on the tray and where materials should be returned when they are finished.
This thoughtful design supports:
✨ Independence – children can set up, use, and restore activities with minimal adult assistance.
✨ Order – materials are clearly organized and easy to maintain.
✨ Focus – there are fewer visual distractions competing for the child’s attention.
✨ Beauty – carefully coordinated materials create an inviting environment that encourages children to engage with their work.
Dr. Montessori believed that the prepared environment should be both functional and beautiful. When children are surrounded by order and beauty, they are naturally drawn to explore, care for their environment, and take pride in their work.
In Montessori, even the color of a tray, cloth, bowl, and pitcher has a purpose. 💚

🎭 🎨 ✨ Throwback to the wonderful play our children presented during the school bazaar on Saturday, and to all the beautiful artwork they created and sold in support of charity.
This event was a beautiful example of Montessori principles in action through the arts. Our initial intention was not to prepare a performance for adults. However, as we observed the children’s enthusiasm, joy, and dedication in learning and memorizing their lines, it became clear that they wanted to share their work. We simply followed their lead, and the play became part of the bazaar celebration.
The same happened with the art projects. The children themselves came up with ideas for what they would create and sell: mobiles, bookmarks, paintings, and more. Every piece was made by their own hands. As adults, our role was to provide the materials, guidance when needed, and the freedom for their creativity to flourish.
In Montessori, art is not about producing something for others’ approval. It is a means of self-expression, a reflection of the child’s thoughts, imagination, and individuality. Saturday’s bazaar was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when children are trusted, supported, and given the space to create. ❤️
