A group of students is heading to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity with a mission beyond attending the festival.
From Cannes, they are launching a live initiative that aims to spotlight Southeast Asian creativity and encourage stronger representation for the region on the global stage. Through conversations, content and industry engagement, the campaign seeks to bring greater visibility to the talent, ideas and creative work emerging from Southeast Asia.
We are proud to see our students taking the lead on an initiative that extends beyond the classroom and contributes to wider industry conversations.
Follow their journey at Cannes and support their efforts to showcase Southeast Asia's creative voice to the world via .weekimoui on Instagram.

We’re going to @cannes_lions. But we don’t want to just go, watch, and leave.
While we’re there, we want to meet Southeast Asian creatives at the festival, hear what’s on their minds, and share those conversations with others back home.
If you’re heading to Cannes Lions 2026, or know someone from Southeast Asia who is, we’d love to connect! Comment or DM us & we’ll talk to you soon.

Reviving a student newspaper after a six-year hiatus is no small undertaking.
What started as an idea to launch a new publication eventually became the revival of The Nanyang Chronicle, a student newspaper with a history dating back to 1994. Over the past months, students worked to rebuild the publication from the ground up, supported by alumni and faculty who helped reconnect it with its longstanding legacy.
The return of The Nanyang Chronicle comes at a time when news competes with an endless stream of content for attention. Yet these students chose to take on the challenge of reporting, investigating and telling stories that matter. They recognised that journalism is not simply about publishing stories, it is about informing, sparking conversation and making an impact.
Congratulations to the Nanyang Chronicle team, and to the alumni and faculty members who supported this revival. We look forward to seeing the publication's next chapter unfold. 🎉

Congratulations to Jordan Lim, a fourth-year undergraduate student, for representing and Team Singapore at the 2026 Asian University Cup in Hainan, China.
Competing in the U120 Men’s Category, Jordan won Bronze medals in both the Squat and Deadlift events, and placed 3rd overall in the competition. The Asian University Cup brings together student-athletes from across the region, showcasing sporting excellence at the university level.
Sharing about the experience, Jordan said, “Powerlifting was a sport I turned to as a form of de-stressing amidst the hectic pace of life, which eventually became about discipline, consistency, and pushing beyond my limits. Representing both country and school was beyond memorable, and I am grateful for everyone who supported me through my journey of getting onto the international stage. I am proud to have represented both Singapore and NTU at the competition.”
A proud moment for Jordan and the community. 💪🏻🏅

is an experiential learning module where students produce documentaries overseas. This year, our ODYSSEERS travelled to Manila.
Their journey came to life at a special private screening held at Filmhouse, where the cohort premiered their documentaries to friends, family, and invited guests after months of hard work, creativity, and discovery.
We were honoured to have Ms Renee Chua, Second Secretary and Consul (Cultural and Filipino Community Relations) of the Embassy of the Philippines in Singapore, as our Guest of Honour. Her presence made the evening even more meaningful, especially as the films will also be screened at the Embassy.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and supported our student filmmakers. We are incredibly proud of this cohort and cannot wait to see where their storytelling journeys take them next. 🎬
