WDP PE Department

1. Woodlanders came together to celebrate Singapore's 61st birthday through meaningful traditions, joyful performances and engaging activities. Inspired by this year's theme, we were reminded that every Singaporean can play a part in shaping our nation's future.

2. The National Day spirit filled our school throughout the week, with morning singalongs building anticipation for the celebrations. On the day itself, performances, music and interactive segments brought our Woodlanders together, inspiring us to celebrate Singapore's journey and continue to go beyond together.

3. Through the GetActive! Singapore workout, Woodlanders came together to celebrate the joy of staying active. As we exercised side by side, every step, stretch and movement reflected our commitment to going beyond together.

4. Our Upper Primary pupils reflected on the future they hope to build for Singapore. Through thoughtful discussions and creative use of recyclable materials, they designed innovative prototypes that reflected their vision for a brighter and more sustainable Singapore.

5. Through National Day-themed games, Kahoot quizzes and classroom activities, our pupils explored Singapore's history, values and aspirations. As they reflected on what it means to be active citizens, they were encouraged to go beyond by showing kindness, taking responsibility, and making a positive difference in their communities.

Woodlands Primary wishes everyone a Happy National Day! 🇸🇬

1. Dressed in colourful ethnic attire, our Woodlanders commemorated Racial Harmony Day and reflected on the importance of building a caring, respectful, and inclusive community.

2. Our Lower Primary pupils enjoyed an engaging skit at PARTS, while our Upper Primary pupils gathered in the hall to celebrate the diversity that enriches our communities and learned the importance of being caring and respectful neighbours in our multicultural society.

3. The library book display gave our pupils the opportunity to learn more about Singapore's rich multicultural heritage. They also enjoyed learning and writing greetings in different languages.

Through these meaningful experiences, they deepened their appreciation for different cultures and embraced diverse perspectives.

1. As the National Day Parade returned to the National Stadium after a decade, our P5 Woodlanders experienced an unforgettable evening of celebration, inspiration, and national pride.

2. Flags waved proudly as familiar National Day songs echoed throughout the stadium. As thousands of voices came together, our pupils experienced the joy of celebrating Singapore as one united community.

3. From spectacular performances to stadium-wide singalongs and dazzling visual effects, our students discovered that the spirit of National Day lies not in any one segment, but in celebrating Singapore together.

4. Through the evening's performances and stories, our pupils were reminded that everyone has a role to play in shaping Singapore's future. They left the National Stadium, inspired to dream bigger, contribute meaningfully, and play their part in Singapore's story.

1. This year's Investiture celebrated an important milestone for our Student Leaders-in-training as they were formally appointed as Prefects or Peer Support Leaders.

We also recognised our current student leaders as they renewed their commitment to serve the Woodlands Primary community for another year.

2. One of the most touching moments of the ceremony was the pinning of badges by parents, marking the beginning of a new chapter for our incoming student leadership team. Surrounded by the encouragement of their families, these young leaders stepped forward with confidence and purpose.

The symbolic handover of leadership, heartfelt speeches, and the Student Leaders' Pledge marked the passing of responsibility from one generation of leaders to the next.

3. This year also marked a historic milestone with the appointment of our first Head Peer Support, Deputy Head Peer Support and Senior Peer Support, affirming that leadership can be expressed in different, yet equally meaningful ways.

The WDP50 Carnival brought generations of Woodlanders together for a joyful celebration of our school's 50-year journey, creating new memories, honouring our past, and looking forward to a bright future. As we celebrate the memories that have shaped us and the people who continue to inspire our community, we remain anchored by our roots while spreading our wings towards the next 50 years and beyond.

2. The carnival was filled with laughter, joy, and cherished moments. Students, parents, staff, alumni, partners, and friends gathered to commemorate this significant milestone, reconnecting, reminiscing, and creating new memories. The festive atmosphere reflected the strong bonds and shared spirit that have shaped our school over the past five decades.

3. From exciting carnival and sports games to a thrilling escape room, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Visitors delighted in colourful face painting, fluffy candy floss, and the ever-popular Milo van. Families captured memories at photo booths, cheered during the raffle draw, and soaked in the festive atmosphere as laughter and smiles filled every corner of our school.

4. The celebration culminated in energetic dance performances that showcased our students' talents and school spirit. As we marked this golden milestone, we look ahead with excitement, embracing the countless possibilities awaiting future generations of Woodlander.

5. Our Golden Jubilee was also a chance to reflect on our beginnings. At the WDP Capsule Exhibition, visitors journeyed through our school's rich history, revisiting treasured moments and celebrating the legacy built by generations of Woodlanders. Laughter and conversation filled the exhibition as alumni reunited. Together, they reflected on the memories that made WDP feel like home.

Our Primary 4 Woodlanders embraced a meaningful learning adventure, proudly taking the lead on their projects and celebrating their progress with friends. The Mini SOAR Showcase was filled with curiosity, confidence, and purpose, creating joyful moments of discovery, friendship, and growth.
