Congratulations, Class of 2025! You’ve made it through your A level journey! As we look ahead to our next steps, our Principal Mr Andrew Tan would like us to hold on to this:

“You have been an amazing batch and have brought so much to everything you do – your passion, your many talents, your energy, your compassion. These results are part of that larger picture of who you are. As I shared just before you collected your results, do remember three things. First, regardless of what results you got – celebrate and be grateful for the journey, the learning and the friendships you have made; be grateful to those who have journeyed with you. Second, remember that you are so much more than the letters or numbers on that certificate – our dreams, purpose and passion matter. Third, be open to the opportunities and choices you have – even and maybe especially the ones you never considered or thought of before. It has been my absolute privilege and pleasure to have been part of your life these last two years – stay in touch always!”

Ms Michelle Chiang, Dean of the Class of 2025, has these words of encouragement for us:

“Congratulations, Class of 2025!
It has been a real privilege to watch you grow, laugh, learn and support one another through these two years. Your journey has been marked by courage, growth and resilience, and we are so proud of who you have become. As you step into new beginnings, know that we will be cheering you on every step of the way.”

Will you remember how we used to be?

The months of mugging we desperately wanted to end, which we now wish wouldn’t.

The days we said were really difficult but with each other, grew stronger from.

The hours we cheered each other on, even when you sang off key or tripped and fell.

The minutes we wanted to freeze because CCA dinners and class outings just won’t be the same again.

Now we are at Prom, hearts racing, feet pounding, arms around each other, living while we’re young. One last time.

Yes. Yes, we will. 💙💛🤍

Forever yours,
Eunoia

With Commendation Day just around the corner, our JC1 Eunoians look back on the moments that shaped their year and share their hopes for what lies ahead.

Our Commendation Day series begins with Ryaen, who scaled new heights this year by clinching a Gold medal at the 21st International Geography Olympiad (iGeo):

“Looking back, I think that the highlights of my EJ journey so far were not any particular events, but rather the countless moments spent with friends, from having lunch🍜 to cramming for an exam.

Through participating in iGeo🌏, I was able to meet a diverse group of people, and my biggest takeaway from it is that even though they may come from halfway across the world, we really are not that different after all!

To my fellow batchmates and friends, I’ve been really grateful for all the support that I’ve received, and I hope we will continue to encourage and help each other as we progress on to JC2!”

Eunoia’s Ora House Captain, Student Councilor, Humanities Scholar, and 2025 Valedictorian (Arts) is none other than the warm-hearted Xavier Lim!

“No amount of words would be able to fully encapsulate my Eunoia journey 🚀. The last two years have certainly been a blur of events and experiences, but it was in the moments of reflection and introspection that I truly realised how blessed I have been - I would not have had things any other way.

Eunoia has offered a diversity of experiences that I would never have even imagined when I stepped through its gates for the very first time. Beyond the usual rigours of JC academic life, I hadn’t expected a EunoiaGO trip to Japan 🇯🇵 with the Eunoia Humanities Programme that was so eye-opening and enriching; I hadn’t foreseen myself hiking through forests and even Malaysia’s Mt Belumut ⛰️ with ODAC, all muddy and sweaty as we conquered nature; I hadn’t hoped to work with people so talented and strong like the Student Councillors that I am so fortunate to have known; and I certainly hadn’t expected to experience Eunoia’s legendary House Culture at its foremost, the hearts of an entire House beating as one as we fought for glory with unbroken spirit. Yet that was what Eunoia offered me during my short time here.

My time in Eunoia is best characterised by the communities I found in these different aspects of my life, as I strengthened old friendships and forged new ones - and that might be my biggest takeaway from my journey here. Throughout the soaring highs and inevitable lows, what I always knew was there for me were the communities I had around me, in class, in House, and everywhere else. Just as they celebrated with me during moments of jubilation, they helped lift me up when I was at my lowest, and I am truly grateful to all who I have met in EJC for being such bright sparks in my life ❤️‍🔥.

Even as I forge ahead into the future, a part of me will always reside at 2 Sin Ming Place, where many of my most beautiful memories were made, and most precious bonds created.”

- Xavier Lim (24-O1), Valedictorian (Arts)
