2025 P6 HENRY PARK PRELIM NUMBER PATTERN QUESTION (PAPER 2 Q17)
Goodbye to old space, hello to bigger space! See more of you in 1 month’s time 💕
💡 Math Tip: It is perfectly acceptable for the average to be a decimal, even if it represents things that cannot be split into decimals, such as the number of people, books, or cars.
Example:
The numbers of people in 2 classrooms are 4, and 5 respectively.
Average = (4 + 5) ÷ 2 = 4.5 people in each classroom
This does not mean there are exactly 4.5 people in each classroom where a person is cut into half. It simply means that if the total were shared equally, each classroom would have 4.5 people on average.
Common PSLE Mistake: Many students think they must round the answer because “you can’t have half a person” or “half a book.” Don’t! Unless the question specifically asks for a whole number, leave the average as a decimal if that’s what your calculation gives.
✨ Introducing Teacher Jeremiah ✨
We’re excited to welcome Teacher Jeremiah to the Maythematics family!
With a Degree in Psychology, Jeremiah incorporates motivation, learning psychology, and effective communication techniques into his teaching, helping students build confidence and develop stronger problem-solving skills.
Prior to joining Maythematics, he served as the Head of the Secondary Department at another renowned tuition centre, where he led curriculum development, mentored teachers, and helped students achieve excellent results.
At Maythematics, Jeremiah will be spearheading improvements to our secondary programme, raising teaching standards, and mentoring our team to provide an even better learning experience for every student.
We’re thrilled to have him on board and can’t wait for our students to learn from him! 🚀📚
