This is an excellent opportunity for parents to see how FC Jurong conducts its academy for young players and develop their talents further.

Following this, we encourage parents to sign up your kids for the DLSAA-FC Jurong Football Academy, and start your children on their soccer journey of discovery. Build their confidence and help them develop the correct mindset and attitude for success taking lessons from the Japanese culture and values as practiced by Albirex Niigata, the former parent club.

Signups for this special academy programme will be done right after the football clinic. Please come prepared with an open mind and give your child a potential pathway towards a place at either SJI or St Patrick’s school under the DSA route for football when he completes P6.

Another great example of the immense football talent that exists in our Lasallian schools. Congrats to SJI on clinching the “C” Division title. Another reason why De La Salle School parents should seriously consider signing up for the De La Salle Alumni Association - Albirex Football Academy to nurture your child’s football talent. And who knows it may lead to a DSA pathway towards a one of our Lasallian secondary schools!

If you are someone you cares about education and you want to be part of the conversation, then join in. Together, we can all shape the future of education in Singapore.

We have launched the Education Conversations, a series of outreach efforts that invites Singaporeans to share their views and help shape education policies that strengthen students’ holistic development and prepare them for the future.

The Conversations began in April 2026 with focused group discussions involving education professionals, parents and youths. We will continue them through 2026 and into 2027, both in person and through the Education Conversations microsite, on topics including:
a. Moderating examination stakes, such as the use of the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) for Secondary 1 posting
b. Reviewing the Direct School Admission (DSA) scheme to strengthen student development, improve selection, and enhance accessibility
c. Strengthening the education experience, including Character and Citizenship Education (CCE) and Co-Curricular Activities (CCA), to nurture values and life skills

Dear LaSallians and Friends,
DLSAA got over 100 reactions on a couple of our posts last week! Most notably, the one on our former DLSS principal, Mr Choo Cheok Hai’s passing.

Your words of comfort and condolence and poignant sharing of encounters with Mr Choo or simply your time spent at DLSS is testament that the LaSallian spirit is alive and has left a mark on you.

DLSAA hopes this will galvanize our LaSallian community and spark our old girls and boys to step forward and volunteer your time in any small way that you can and pass it forward to the next generation of LaSallians.

Please email us at [email protected] or just text us here at FB or our IG handle . Thanks everyone for your support! 🎉

As LaSallians we take pride in the achievements of our fellow students in our CBS schools. And so it is with great pleasure we applaud the achievements of our students from St Joseph’s Institution who have successfully completed the Swift Accelerator Programme — an intensive eight-month app development bootcamp.

Supported by Apple and IMDA the programme equips students with skills in Swift, Apple’s programming language used to build apps for iOS. Students work on real world problems in cross-school teams, identified and designed actual apps after many rounds of testing and debugging. The apps are published fully functional on the Apple App Store. A special shout out goes to Chan Yap Long (extreme left standing next to SJI principal, Mr Justin Arul Pierre) who is a De La Salle old boy. Kudos to Yap Long and the other Josephians. Hope you will be an inspiration to other LaSallians to be fearless in the face of a mighty challenge and persevere through to success!! 💪👍👏

Dear DLSS Students and Parents,

Thank you to all the P1 students and parents who dropped by the DLSAA-Albirex Football Academy booth on Friday, 2 Jan 2026. The students had a fun time just trying out simple drills with the Albirex players and coaches. The academy will be having a trial session for all parents and DLSS students (P1-P6) who would like a taste of what the academy sessions will be like on:

Sunday, 11 Jan 2026,
9.00 - 10.30 am,
Jurong East Stadium futsal court

Come on down and try out for yourself if you would like to sign up as an academy recruit and hone more than just your football skills. Please watch the attached video to find out what some of our current DLSS academy recruits have to say about the training. See you soon! 😊
