Trust that this is the same thing for many of us. My family has our fair share of meeting one good one that stayed on with us for a gd 7-8 years.

2022 PSLE, he scored AL6 for math.
2023 EOY, he scored 64/100, B4 for math. G2 sec 1.
2026 EOY, he scored 114/140, A1 for math. G2 sec 4.

Progression from a B to an A. 3 years journey. Way before Sec 1, I was already teaching him for p4-6, upon recommendation by my uncle whom knew his mum. I mean in pri sch he struggled with math and that doesn’t mean in Sec sch the same applies. A lot of factors to take into consideration for such progression, and that is of course perseverance, hardwork, grit.

I am no magician. I’m just an ordinary tutor that know the hearts of students who failed in their studies. Many parents and students know. I experienced failures just as many of these students who progress do.

ZY, thank you for choosing me as ur tutor. Thank u for the wonderful 6-7 years spent. This is how far we have come and at some point we got to end the journey, pass on the baton to the next instructor/lecturer/mentor. Remember character outweighs all sorts of glamorous results we attain. That was a msg my uncle passed to me. Same msg to u. All the best to ur finals! The actual N level!

A gd 24/30 math G3, Sec 1. We have grown from a mere AL5 in PSLE to at least a gd WA3 score. Moving forward, he’s definitely going to work hard for the final year paper. So it’s revision time!

Well done ZY! A clear distinction in the house! EOY for his sch is done and dusted for Sec 4 G2. Scoring a 114/140. 81%. A1. Grade 1. Congrats. Science was also gd. Chem was a 39/50 while his physics was a 31/50. A2 which is gd too. After he cleared off his papers, he told me immediately that we need to work on the physics and I’m seeing u on Sun, I will make sure we are cleared with ur understanding for physics before ur actual N level. Batch of 2026 for N level, it’s the last time we will see O and N level papers while next year we are transiting to a new name for the papers. Thank u ZY once again for the 6 years under my tutelage. I can be strict but u saw thru my intentions all along, it was never for the good of my own self but for the good of u. See how much u have prospered for sci and math??? From those cmi grades u once attained, to A1 and A2!

22/30 Sec 2G3 math. Well done S! At least a 73% was secured for the final wa. We will work hard for the finals EOY to maintain or do even better!

80% for sci. Sec 2G3. Congrats S. 32/40 is remarkable. We will carry on this sort of A1 grade thru EOY and thru the next 2 years!
