The fundamental of coaching is to believe that NOBODY knows himself / herself better. This makes absolute sense, although you might be having doubts now.

Think again, could there be anyone else that had shared the exact same experiences or situations or scenarios, the same happiness or sadness as I have or you had? No one fingerprint is same.

So who knows you better? Perhaps only you....

"I don't know what I don't know".

Do you hear this often? I am guilty of saying it as well. While the sentence may sound correct, does it actually we do know what we know?

Gaining knowledge is lifetime effort. It didn't start yesterday and wouldn't stop tomorrow.

Don't be threatened by the unknowns, always be seeking to learn.

When things happen, we hesitate. We are not sure what's becoming to be, we worried.

Happiness ? Comfort Zone ?

Happiness is a state of well-being that encompasses living a good life—that is, with a sense of meaning and deep satisfaction.

Comfort Zone is a psychological state in which things feel familiar to a person and they are at ease and in control of their environment, experiencing low levels of anxiety and stress.

Technically different in psychological, yet emotionally similar.

I hear frequently "Oh yeah, I am good now, happy with my current situation, there isn't much to change about, I am happy", though I could sense some unpleasantness, some dissatisfaction in the tone.

We mostly chose to believe that "being comfortable with now" equates "I am happy now". To some, this is the truth. To some others, the truth may not be what it was deemed should be.

Fact is only we know ourselves best, it is only how we get to know us.

Most of us say "I want to be happy", happy in life, happy in work, happy in relationships, happy in many many things.

Think again.

Can we plan and work towards Happiness?

How then can we plan and work towards Happiness?

Would we follow that plan if the path does not align with what we believe and value?

Some find happiness in social works, some find them in sport activities, some in many other forms.

Do activity that your beliefs and values belongs (make sure it's not against the law 😉)

What do you feel when you read the caption?

Is it a way of life? How do we manage it?

Inevitably, some of we are doing it, wearing a mask. We don't show ourselves fully. No wrong. It's just to what extent.

Yet, similarly, the mask filtered what we see. The filter I call perspective. Would it hinder our judgement?

Tell me.

Horror Series # 6

When I saw this, my first thought was how sad it would be when the statement was made. Surely, we felt the same at times. No no, not suggesting that we want to kill people.

It's the passion, the fire in our belly when we set ourselves to do something. The emotional encouragement we had given ourselves during the beginning, how some of us experience the diminishing effect of the passion going away as time goes by, especially so if the work was not appreciated.

This was what I felt when I saw this picture.

So then how can we keep ourselves motivated? How can we keep the passion burning? Sometime it could be just that pat on the shoulder, a compliment, a word of encouragement to keep us pursuing our goal, our dreams.

A coach would be the choice to be your sounding board, your accountability partner in that journey.

We do wish to be too contended in life, that may make us lazy and complacent. How do we keep moving? Being afraid may be one way of motivation.

AFRAID (adj.) defined as being filled with F.E.A.R (https://www.facebook.com/yourblendedaide/posts/1797782593576763)

When taken negatively, it stops us from moving forwards, it prevents us from overcoming.

However, once conquered and taken positively, it becomes motivation, it will push us to move on, to overcome, to improve.

It's up to us.
