🎓 A Little Boost for Our P6 Scholars! 🌟

As PSLE draws closer, the Raffles Parents’ Association (RPA) has prepared a special Scholarship Pack for our P6 Scholars — a small gesture of encouragement to remind them that we are cheering them on every step of the way.

Packed with snacks, treats and a few useful goodies, we hope this brings a little joy and motivation during this busy revision period.

To all our P6 Scholars: stay focused, believe in yourselves and keep going. You’ve worked hard to come this far. Give it your best and shine at PSLE! 💪📚✨

All the best! We’re rooting for you! ❤️

On Saturday, 22 August 2026, the Raffles Parents’ Association (RPA) 38th Management Committee had a wonderful evening at the Old Rafflesian Association (ORA) Annual Dinner — made even more special this year as ORA and RGS alumnae came together for the very first time! 🎉

We were honoured to have Ms Jasmin Lau, Acting Minister for Manpower of Singapore, as the Guest of Honour for the evening.

It was also lovely spending some downtime with our teaching faculty and school leaders, including Principal Mr Aaron Loh and Vice-Principal Ms Melissa Lim. These opportunities to connect beyond our usual school engagements made the evening all the more special. ❤️

And of course, we couldn’t resist having a little fun with the AI photobooth! 📸🤖

A memorable evening filled with good company, laughter and meaningful connections. Here’s to many more opportunities for our Rafflesian communities to come together! ✨️

Last Wednesday, Year 5 parents gathered for an insightful lunchtime talk, “Helping My Teen to Thrive in Junior College”, co-hosted by the Raffles Parents’ Association (RPA) and the Raffles Guidance Centre (RGC).

As our JC 1 students transition into Semester 2, shifting gears from active co-curricular involvement to a more intensive academic focus, the session provided timely guidance on supporting them through new routines, heightened expectations and increased stress.

During the talk, RGC counsellors Kristie and Jeffrey shared insights into the real-world experiences and emotional pressures JC students may face during this pivotal semester. Parents gained practical strategies for effective communication, with an emphasis on active listening and creating a safe space where teens can express themselves openly without fear of immediate judgment.

The session also highlighted the importance of collaborative support—working alongside our teens to co-create realistic expectations and healthy routines, rather than simply imposing them. Ultimately, the focus was on equipping students with healthy coping strategies to navigate academic demands while maintaining their overall well-being.

A big thank you to the Raffles Guidance Centre and all the parents who joined us. By partnering together, we can help our teens feel supported, empowered and ready to thrive! 🌱

🇸🇬 Celebrating 61 Years of Singapore! 🇸🇬

This National Day, the Raffles Parents’ Association celebrates the Singapore we call home — a nation built on resilience, unity, care and the strength of its people.

Our Raffles community brings together families from Singapore and beyond, each contributing to the diverse and vibrant community we are privileged to be part of.

As parents, we are proud to watch our children grow, learn and discover their place in the world. May we continue to nurture them to be compassionate, courageous and committed to making a positive difference, wherever their journeys may take them.

Together, let us look ahead with hope and confidence, and continue building a community where everyone feels a sense of belonging.

One People, One Nation, One Singapore.
Happy 61st National Day, Singapore! ❤️
Majulah Singapura! 🇸🇬

What an amazing evening at this year’s RPA Family-Bonding Movie Night! 🎬✨

For the first time, RPA booked 3 movie halls at Golden Village Bishan, Junction 8, with over 600 seats sold out for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. It was heartwarming to see so many RI students, families, school leaders and RPA members coming together for a night of fun, excitement and bonding.

Families arrived with big smiles, many enjoying RPA’s special early-bird popcorn and drink combo before settling in for the movie. The atmosphere was lively, happy and full of anticipation as everyone got ready to experience Spider-Man’s latest adventure together.

A big thank you to all families who joined us, our school leaders for their support, and our RPA members who worked behind the scenes to make the evening smooth and enjoyable.

We hope everyone had a wonderful time and made special memories with their loved ones.

Warmest regards,
Raffles Parents’ Association

The Raffles Parents' Association (RPA) was honoured to attend Raffles Institution's 203rd Founder's Day celebrations on 25 July 2026. This meaningful occasion brought together students, parents, staff and alumni to celebrate the Institution's rich heritage, enduring values, and shared commitment to excellence. It was also a pleasure to reconnect with several former RPA Chairpersons during the celebrations.

Principal Mr Aaron Loh shared how RI continues to embrace innovation, including AI initiatives that support teachers in facilitating students' group and project work.

Guest-of-Honour Mr Jaspal Sidhu (Class of 1978/80), Founder and Chairman of Singapore Intercultural School and Inspirasi Schools, delivered an inspiring address titled "Equalising the Odds: A Journey of Purpose, Perseverance and Giving Back". Reflecting on his personal journey and the opportunities afforded to him through RI, he encouraged Rafflesians with three memorable reminders: "We all rise higher when we lift others", "Never forget that you made the cut", and "Success begins with a conscience".

Guests were also treated to wonderful performances by the Raffles Chorale and the Year 5–6 Malay Cultural Society, as well as a heartfelt valedictory address by Chen Kaixuan Michelle, Year 6 Student Council President.

The RPA extends its warmest congratulations to all recipients of this year's Founder's Day awards.

A Saturday morning filled with laughter, shared stories, and a whole lot of heart.

It’s July, and the A-Level countdown is officially on. For our Year 6 parents, the anxiety can feel incredibly palpable during this final stretch. That’s why this morning’s RPA Connect Year 6 – Celebrating the Journey couldn't have come at a better time!

Over 50 Year 6 parents gathered at the RI Innovation Centre, kicking things off with an interactive Bingo game that broke the ice, sparked conversations, and brought plenty of laughter.

Facilitated by 9 experienced Year 7+ parents, everyone dived into open, heartfelt conversations about how to best support our children through this critical year.

For many in this cohort, COVID-19 meant missing out on their Year 1 orientation. Today felt like a beautiful, full-circle moment to finally bridge that gap. From raw, candid stories to quiet nods of understanding, the warmth in the room was tangible.

Parents left with lifted spirits, forged bonds, and a powerful reminder: You are not alone on this journey.

Huge thank you to our incredible facilitators and all the parents who showed up for each other. Together, we continue to strengthen the RI community, one conversation, one connection, and one family at a time. ❤️

Last Saturday morning, the Raffles Institution campus was buzzing with energy, excitement, and deep connection as more than 40 father-child pairs gathered for "Fun With Dad"!

Organized in celebration of Father’s Day, this meaningful bonding experience also marked a very special milestone: the 5th year of partnership between the Raffles Parents’ Association (RPA) and Dads for Life (DFL). 🤝✨

Through a series of interactive games and activities, the parents and their children practiced what it truly means to trust and better communicate with one another. Together, they tackled obstacles, solved clues, and engaged in heartfelt conversations, deepening their bond with every single step. 🪵🧩🗣️

The morning wrapped up with deeply moving moments as the father-child pairs took turns being blindfolded, challenging themselves to identify one another using only three simple words: “I love you.” ❤️

We are immensely grateful to the DFL team, our amazing parent volunteers, and the RPA MC who worked tirelessly to make today a success. Most of all, thank you to our father-child pairs for stepping up, leaning into the challenges, and celebrating the power of family with us. 🙌🌟
