✨PN Upcycled Fashion Show! ♻️👗
Our PN children wrapped up the term with a creative Upcycled Outfit Fashion Show!
Together with their wonderful parents, the children created amazing handmade outfits using recycled materials and proudly showcased their designs on the runway with big smiles and lots of confidence.
It was lovely to see the children enjoying the experience and expressing their creativity as we wrapped up our term’s inquiry learning in a fun and meaningful way.
A big thank you to our parents for collaborating with us on these fantastic creations!

🤩 Thanks for the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ testimonial Ben and Jolene 🤩
"We got a really positive vibe when we visited the school. The Lorong Chuan branch had just opened when we visited and only had a handful of students. But it already felt like a genuinely happy place, with kind, enthusiastic and warm teachers. It also ticked all the boxes for us, with a play-based curriculum, equal emphasis on English and Mandarin, good class sizes and lots of outdoor time. We are thrilled by how much Ellie loves going to school – she’s always upset when she’s ill and has to stay home. She loves her friends, her teachers and her coaches, and always runs off to play as soon as we get to school. She particularly looks forward to water play, sports and after-school swimming lessons."

💦 Splashing into Sensory Water Play 💦
Let’s see what the children can do with sponges, a little soap, and water.
During water play time, the children squeezed sponges and were delighted to see foamy bubbles appear. They happily worked together to wash the slides, pots, and pans, turning a simple task into a fun sensory adventure.
Beyond the fun, this hands-on activity was a fantastic workout for growing minds and little hands. By squeezing and scrubbing, the children developed their fine motor skills, hand strength, coordination, and independence. It was also a wonderful opportunity for them to explore different textures and experience cause-and-effect learning in real time.

Children need space. To climb, shout, test their limits, and come back for more.
The outdoor environment is where children thrive. They take small risks, figure things out, and grow more confident with each try.

🥤🇨🇳 During our role-play activity at Shaws Preschool at Mountbatten, the children practised using the conversation sentences: “What would you like to drink?” and “I like drinking…”
The children asked and answered questions, chose their favourite drinks and shared their preferences with their friends. This fun learning activity helps children develop their language skills and their confidence through play!

🤩 Thanks for the ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ testimonial Nabil and Priscilla 🤩
"We love that Shaws encourage outdoor play; kids in Singapore spend too much time being cooped up at home! Little League is also a big plus for us because Adam gets a gentle introduction to different forms of sports. The teachers are amazing! They are very approachable and know Adam very well. I am awed by how much energy they have."

When children make small choices, carry their own items, and figure things out as they go, that’s where independence starts to build.
These everyday moments are where real-life skills take shape, and where they learn to manage themselves around others.
