Bulan Bahasa Celebration | MK@Huamin × MK@Northoaks | 28 August 2026

Our K2 Malay Language children celebrated Bulan Bahasa in collaboration with MK@Northoaks through engaging hands-on activities, interactive learning experiences, traditional activities, and shared moments with their peers as they explored the beauty and richness of the Malay language and culture.

The collaboration provided the children with opportunities to learn alongside their peers, strengthen their linguistic confidence, and develop a deeper appreciation for the Malay language and culture. Through these shared experiences, the children also embraced the values of respect, friendship, and cultural harmony.

On 7 August 2026, our Huaminites came together to celebrate Singapore’s 61st National Day with joy, pride and a strong sense of togetherness.

Our Primary 5 students shared their reflections and experiences from the NE Show, which they had attended on 11 July 2026, giving fellow Huaminites a glimpse into their memorable day and what Singapore means to them.

The celebration continued with vibrant performances, an interactive quiz and familiar National Day songs, which our Huaminites sang along to with enthusiasm and pride. From the concert to the classroom activities, the energy and enthusiasm of our students and staff brought the celebrations to life.

The day culminated in a heartfelt birthday celebration for Singapore, as our Huaminites came together to sing, celebrate and send their warmest birthday wishes to the nation we proudly call home.

As we celebrate Singapore’s remarkable journey over the past 61 years, let us continue to embrace the spirit of “Go Beyond” by looking out for one another, caring for our community, and playing our part in building a stronger and more united Singapore.

On 20 July 2026, our Huaminites came together to celebrate Racial Harmony Day, guided by this year's theme, "Our People, Our Tapestry."

The day was filled with meaningful learning and exciting experiences as students celebrated Singapore's rich multicultural heritage. Through lively classroom discussions, interactive activities, and hands-on experiences, students explored the rich cultures and traditions of Singapore's diverse racial communities, gaining a deeper appreciation of the values that unite us.

Students also immersed themselves in the festivities by dressing in traditional ethnic costumes, exploring cultural displays, participating in traditional games and activities, and enjoying multicultural music performances. These shared experiences fostered greater understanding of one another's cultures while strengthening friendships across different backgrounds.

The celebration was a meaningful reminder of our school value, Everyone is Special, as students embraced their differences, showed respect for one another, and recognised that every individual adds a unique thread to the rich tapestry of our school and our nation.
As we continue to learn and grow together, let us continue building a caring and inclusive community where every culture is celebrated, every voice is valued, and everyone belongs.

FB Post: Racial Harmony Day (21 July 2026)

Our MK children celebrated Racial Harmony Day by exploring Singapore’s rich cultural heritage through traditional attire, a martial arts showcase, cultural games, and traditional snacks.

To conclude the celebration, each child contributed a drawing to our Tapestry Garment, symbolising how every individual and culture comes together to form the vibrant multicultural mosaic that is Singapore.

Through these meaningful experiences, our children learnt to appreciate diversity, celebrate our shared identity, and embrace the values of respect, inclusivity, and harmony.

Through an engaging sharing session and an interactive snack-time activity, families explored practical ways to support children's transition while learning about the importance of Values, Social-Emotional Development and Learning Dispositions (VSLD), alongside Financial Literacy. These experiences help our children develop confidence, resilience, responsibility and essential life skills for their next stage of learning.

On 11 July 2026, our Primary 5 students had the opportunity to attend the National Education (NE) Show at the National Stadium, joining thousands of fellow Primary 5 students in celebrating Singapore's unity, resilience, and progress.

Through the vibrant performances, inspiring stories, patriotic songs, and spectacular displays, our students experienced the spirit of our National Day celebrations firsthand. They sang along to familiar National Day songs, proudly waved the Singapore flag, and shared in the joy and excitement of celebrating our nation together. More than a celebration, the NE Show was a meaningful National Education experience that deepened our students' appreciation of Singapore's journey and strengthened their sense of national identity and belonging.

Inspired by this year's National Day theme, "Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!", our students were encouraged to go beyond for others through everyday acts of kindness, responsibility, and respect. As they continue to learn, grow, and serve others, may they embody the spirit of Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond! in all that they do.

Our Primary 5 Humanites students, together with their peers from St. Nicholas Girls’ School and North View Primary School, embarked on an enriching Overseas Learning Journey to Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Foshan from 18 May to 23 May 2026.

Through meaningful school visits and vibrant cultural exchange activities, the students gained valuable insights beyond the classroom. This immersive experience has deepened their global awareness, strengthened their communication skills and enhanced their cross-cultural understanding.

It was a truly memorable journey of learning, friendship, and discovery!
