Guitar Repair @Clementi West For that guitar, instead of the typical tonewoods, Meng decided to use Paulownia, as would be, on an Erhu, as a tribute.
Ngoh Guitars
Ngoh Thiam Meng started constructing his first guitar in 2006, in remembrance of his late father Ngoh Chin Peow, who made and played his own Erhu (Chinese bowed instrument) at Chinese opera performances. Meng first learnt how to play the moon lute or the lang ting tang (a Chinese two-stringed guitar) from his father when he as 11, and he eventually upgraded to the six-stringed classic

Reconciled with the very first guitar I setup (second guitar I’ve restored). Remembering how happy the owner was, that has kept me going, seventeen years on…more happy to see the work still stands after so long…great catching up and knowing all is well with the owner…
…time to get to work, so she gets passed on to the next generation…

…”While his guitar gently weeps…”
How apt.
How concise.

A diligent group of students from School of Science and Technology wrote an inspiring article based on the work I do.
There are always reaping and sowing, sacrifices and reward, giving and taking in all things worth doing.
In the times of sowing, when no one sees you, do not give up.
In the times of reaping, when you’re put on a pedestal, do not be proud. For you have only done the right thing and have earned the keep to do it again.
Just be sure, it’s a labour of love.
