My Special Corner specialises on programmes that help children with learning difficulties/special needs
My Special Corner (MSC) is first founded with the belief that children can all learn and pick up a skill given the opportunities and right teaching instruments. Therefore in MSC, we customised our prog to fit all students' needs. Programmes are in both academic and creative approach that integrate with many hands-on experience that help retain learning. In academic prog, MSC offers both Mathematics and English prog whereas in the creative prog there are Music, Baking and Art prog available.

In case you’re unaware, this student is a Singaporean. As we celebrate his milestone every bit of the way, we remember how much the country has progressed. Happy birthday Singapore!

She came in with a defensive mindset thinking that there will be homework for her over the long weekend on top of her schoolwork but what happened eventually was she understood the reason of having those homework was not to rob her time from her weekend break, the direction took a turn with willingness to do it for her own sake and not complete it for others’ sake. We cannot be more happy for her now that she can process when explained to her. At the end of the class, she apologised for her behaviour.

What a super proud moment to see our student prepping for his own outing snacks! People with autism and impairment often needs longer time to retain skills taught to them but we are happy the many months of training has begin to take shape. His ability to learn to be independent is never easy yet a fruitful one!

Everyone deserves to look and feel good! On lifeskill training, we learn to make decisions on what suits us, our style, skin tone etc, but more importantly it creates a sense of accomplishment when we feel empowered to successfully express our thoughts! We are so happy JW actually pointed something that pleased him and responded positively with the outcome.

They say old is gold! Celebrating birthday with my first student ever since my freelancer days till today makes it so special. You always hold that unique place in me. Pray that you have many more good, happy and healthy years ahead! Happy birthday JW!

It is definitely a good day for 🏖️! Looking at our student read and write just brought so much joy as we recall back then no one understood his request and handwriting.

Not all days are happy but when it is, even the grey sky cannot stop that vibrant smile! Happy outdoor training with this one. He has made such good progress so much so that his grandma could tell the difference when she came to visit recently.

When learning is concerned, play as a curriculum speaks to us clearly. In this, our student is engaged both at play and in academic. Some may ask why is there no reluctance? That’s because her needs are met hence we are able to progress her further. Previously , she displayed huge resistance to learning, especially with Mathematics 😆
