Are you graduating this year and not sure which career suits you? The ISCA Young Professional Advisory Committee (YPAC) is pleased to launch its inaugural Young Accountants Mentorship Programme. This is an initiative designed to pair graduating undergraduates like yourselves with more experienced young professionals to offer guidance and inspiration to enable you to realise your potential. If you are an accounting undergraduate in the graduating year, sign up now and connect with a working accounting professional to gain insights on the required skills sets for career advancement.

The mentorship programme fee is chargeable at $50 for ISCA members and $65 for non-members. As a privileged ISCA Youth Associate, we are extending it to you complimentary (with limited slots available).

The past year in ACC SMC has been a challenging yet fulfilling journey for me. Joining the SMC has allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and grow as an individual, since this is my first leadership position. I am really thankful for the opportunity given to serve the Student Body and voice their concerns! The bonds I formed with my fellow SMC members and the brainstorming sessions we had for the events will remain in my memory. I will always consider my time in SMC to be an important part of my university life.

I decided to join SMC to embark on a new adventure and I’m glad to say that I had enjoyed myself throughout my service term! I had forged many unforgettable bonds and memories over the past year, especially with my team whom took on the challenges we faced as one.

To be able to represent Accountancy was a privilege. To be the voice and connectors of the student body and to bring everyone together was something I did not foresee myself doing in university. On a more personal level, I forged friendships, gained experience and enjoyed university life more than I anticipated.

Being a part of ACC SMC is one of the highlights of my time here at SIT. It was both a challenging and rewarding role, but the close-knit relations among the team made work more enjoyable.

The role also brought about a greater sense of belonging to the Accountancy programme and SIT, as it granted me the opportunity to work with faculty and staff for the student body.
