we heard from the seniors. now, letβs hear from our students π¬π¬
what started as a performance became something more: sparking conversations and moments of connection across generations.
(and yes, the numbers were pretty meaningful too π)

the last post was numbers, this one is the voices behind them! π’
after the performances, we asked our seniors to share a feeling, a word, and a message for the youth of today.

the data is in π
numbers donβt tell the whole story, but they do remind us that moments of connection matter!
these are the programme statistics from re:ACT 2026. thank you to those involved for showing up, sharing space, and letting these stories mean something. π€

long after the performances ended, one thing stayed with us: the stories π
re:ACT wasnβt just about performing for an audience, it was about creating conversation. students listening to seniors speak honestly about their lives, the joy and the struggles. it was about learning how experiences from another generation could still feel familiar in unexpected ways.
watching students carry these stories onto the stage reminded us how powerful listening can be.
stories stop belonging to one person, they become something we carry forward together.

sometimes, all it takes is hearing someone elseβs story to see things a little differently π
re:ACT allowed students to step into these stories beyond their own. they were invited to listen more deeply, reflect more openly. from there, they worked together to bring these real experiences to life once more through performance.
maybe thatβs one of the most meaningful things theatre can do β remind us that every person carries a story worth understanding!

what does it mean to step into someone elseβs shoes? π
with re:ACT, students listen to seniors recount memories of growing up in old singapore and brought them to life with forum theatre. exploring perspectives beyond their own helps them discover the value of connection across generations.
because sometimes, understanding begins with simply listening.
