When people think of Muay Thai, they usually picture young athletes.
Not a 56-year-old woman.
But that’s exactly why I wanted to share her story.
When she first joined Encore, she was nervous.
She had never imagined herself doing Muay Thai.
She worried she might be too old.
Too weak.
Too far behind everyone else.
But she showed up anyway.
One class became two.
Two became ten.
Slowly, something changed.
She became stronger.
Not just physically.
She became more confident.
More energetic.
More willing to challenge herself.
Today, she can do burpees, train alongside women much younger than her, and inspire everyone around her.
What I love most is that she doesn’t train to become a fighter.
She trains because movement gives her life.
This is what Encore has always been about.
Not creating champions.
Creating stronger, happier, more confident women.
No matter their age.
