Our Little Garden Project has been growing beautifully at our Jurong West centre! ๐ฑ
During our Start Small Dream Big launch, families kindly donated recyclable bottles, giving them a second life as plant pots for our baby herb seedlings. Every class played their part in bringing the garden to life, from painting the pots and writing garden labels to creating rules on how to care for the plants responsibly.
Every weekend, families return to check on the plants and water them together. Through this shared effort, our children are learning that caring for the environment starts with small, everyday actions, and that sustainability is something we can achieve together as a community
This garden project is part of our ongoing journey with Start Small Dream Big, an initiative by ECDA.

Zhang Lao Shi was awarded the Outstanding Preschool Mother Tongue Language Teacher Award at the recent Mother Tongue Languages Symposium. This award is a testament to her passion for making learning fun and engaging, as well as her dedication to nurturing an enduring love for the Chinese language and culture in our children.โ

Through the effective use of music and movement, Zhang Lao Shi draws children into language learning in a warm and natural manner, reflecting a sound understanding of how young children acquire language through joyful and socially interactive means. She identifies teachable moments to nurture childrenโs development of values and social and emotional competencies. She also prepares a range of vivid and tangible teaching aids and manipulatives to support timely and relevant discussions with children during play.โ
We are immensely proud of her achievement and are inspired by the warmth, creativity, and care she brings to her classroom every day. Thank you, Zhang Lao Shi, for guiding our little ones with so much heart and helping them grow into confident learners!โ โค๏ธ

We are thrilled that all our centres have received the ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก๐ฒ ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ (๐๐๐๐) ๐๐ง๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฑ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐๐๐, and while the whole team earned it, we only managed to get a few of them in front of the camera. ๐ธ๐
More than a recognition, it is a testament to our centres meeting the stringent nutrition and food education standards set under the Healthy Meals in Pre-schools Programme (HMPP), a true reflection of the care and consistency our teams bring to every mealtime.
