The scholars of Seerah mention a story which took place in the Makkan days of the mission of the Prophet ﷺ. A bedouin from the tribe of Iraash came to Makkah hoping to sell his camels. He ran into Abu Jahl, who was a staunch opponent of the Prophet ﷺ and took every opportunity to create trouble for the Muslims. Impressed with the camels, Abu Jahl took them and said he would pay for them later. When the bedouin went to collect payment however, Abu Jahl refused to acknowledge their agreement. Understandably, this caused the bedouin great distress. After all, this was his livelihood.
He went to the Ka’bah and called out for help, but no one wanted to cross Abu Jahl. The Prophet ﷺ was also there and a group of people who opposed Islam told the bedouin to ask the Prophet ﷺ for help dealing with Abu Jahl. They intended to mock the Prophet ﷺ and create trouble because they knew that he and Abu Jahl did not get along. The bedouin approached the Prophet ﷺ for help and of course, he stood up to help him. When the people realized that the Prophet ﷺ was going to confront Abu Jahl, they decided to go watch.
The Prophet ﷺ knocked on Abu Jahl’s door and told him to come outside. As soon as Abu Jahl stepped out, he went pale. He looked terrified. The Prophet ﷺ told him to pay the bedouin what he was due and to everyone’s surprise, Abu Jahl did so without argument. When he was asked about his odd behavior later on, he said that he saw a giant, ferocious camel standing behind the Prophet ﷺ, and he was afraid he would be eaten if he did not comply. He was made to see this as a miracle from Allah to support the Prophet ﷺ.
This story reminds us of an important lesson we learn in the fifth juz’ of the Qur’an. This juz’ contains themes related to maintaining community and laws related to different aspects of society. Towards the end, Allah tells us that the believers uphold justice even if it requires them to go against their own interests. (4:135)
The Prophet ﷺ always stood on the side of justice. He didn’t care that the bedouin wasn’t from Makkah or from his own tribe. He heard that someone had been wronged and he had the ability to right that wrong—and he did.

Alta heel is a sunnah
Over 1400 years ago, when a child was born, the Prophet ﷺ made it his Sunnah to take a small part of a date and place it in his mouth. He would then chew it until it was soft and then rub it onto the palate of the new born baby. This is called Taḥnīk.
'Today', BBC News has reported that "experts" have said - "A dose of sugar given as a gel rubbed into the inside of the cheek is a cheap and effective way to protect premature babies against brain damage."
This is why Muslims follow the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ without questioning it. Science is only now discovering a tradition that was introduced 1400 years ago because Islām was and still is the forefront of development.
