Hello everyone, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news—my new signage is finally up! If you’ve noticed a change in the logo and are wondering why, it’s because I am officially leaving AO Studies.

You might be surprised and even perplexed as to why I would leave a company I founded in 2013. But let’s look at it from a simple perspective. Imagine a group project where someone must step up as the leader. Typically, many shy away from this role since it comes with more work and greater responsibility. With Joseph on board after his 3 years bond with MOE in 2015, I took on that leadership role at AO Studies.

Throwback to 2022, I made a difficult decision: to stop teaching O’level A&E Math. With my last batch of Sec 4 students graduating in 2023, I finally had more time in 2024 to spend with my family.

Now, in 2025, I am stepping down from my leadership role at AO Studies. I am launching a new company dedicated solely to teaching A-Level H2 Math. When I founded AO Studies, my goal was to provide the best Math and Sci tuition for both O’ & A’level students—hence the name AO Studies. But since I no longer teach O’level Math, staying on would feel meaningless. My new sole proprietorship, One Eighty Degrees, will give me far more flexibility—focusing only on JC Math.
