2026 Teacher’s Day 🌷

They say Teacher’s Day is a day for students to appreciate the teachers who inspire, encourage and guide them.

But I say my students are my teachers too. 💛

Over the years, they have taught me love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control — sometimes quite a lot of that last one. 😂

V has been with me since K2. Fast forward to today, and she is already in Sec 2! Her primary school journey was not always easy and she struggled with learning at times. But in secondary school, I have watched her slowly blossom. Although she is taking G1 English, she has been doing well and even topping her level — something we might not have imagined during those difficult primary school years.

Her Teacher’s Day note reminded me why we should never be too quick to define a child by where they are right now.

Every child has a season to grow. Some bloom early, some take a little longer. What matters is that we continue to support them, believe in them and give them opportunities to grow and glow. 🌱✨

So this Teacher’s Day, a shout-out to all my students too. Thank you for teaching me while I teach you.

Every child who walks into our classroom carries a story, a dream, a fear, a strength, and so much potential waiting to be discovered.

As teachers, we may not always see the impact of what we do right away. Sometimes, it is in the quiet encouragement, the extra explanation, the patience on a difficult day, or simply believing in a child when they are struggling to believe in themselves.

And that is what makes teaching so meaningful.

At Sowing Seedz, we are grateful for the privilege of being part of our students’ journeys. Every little breakthrough, every smile, every “I finally understand!” and every step forward means more to us than words can say.

This Teacher’s Day, we celebrate all educators who continue to give their time, energy, patience and heart to the children entrusted to them.

May the seeds we plant today continue to grow, flourish and make a difference long after they leave our classrooms.

2026 Prelim P6 Science

Is it possible to score full marks for Science? Definitely possible! 💪🏻

At the beginning of every year, I start getting my students to think about how to score, not just how to study Science — from understanding concepts and applying the right keywords to answering precisely and, importantly, checking their work carefully.

So seeing a 60/60 for Booklet A definitely made my day! 🤩

And yes, the competitive spirit in me is extra happy that Science is now his personal best. 😂

But credit goes to M too. Sometimes, those few minutes of checking really do make all the difference.

His mum jokingly said his tip is simply to “listen to your explanations and tips during lessons.” 🤭

Unfortunately, I told her this strategy somehow does not work on my own kids. 😂 Teacher-mum problems!

But if my skills can make an impact on my students, I am already very thankful. 💛

With PSLE approaching, there is still time to tighten answering techniques, close the gaps and reduce unnecessary loss of marks.

One day, one theme. We will revise thoroughly with a strong focus on open-ended answering techniques, accurate keywords and skills application.
