Congratulations to our latest newly-minted private pilot, Wu Feiyu, for earning his USA FAA Private Pilot License (PPL) in under 30 days!

A pretty awesome feat, considering most other pilot trainees typically take anywhere between 6 months (full-time) to 18 months (part-time) to earn their Private Pilot License.

So how did Feiyu accomplish his feat?

After attending FlightSchool.sg's Phase 1 - 12-week FAA Private Pilot Preparation program, he proceeded to Phase 2 - In-Aircraft Flight Training, with San Diego Flight Training Institute (SDFTI). Phase 2 took him under 30 days to complete.

Now the sky's the limit for Feiyu and we wish him the best for his aviation journey ahead.

Numbers from the FAA show only about 7% of all pilots are women. Piper Angel is working to change that.

Angel grew up around aviation. Her dad is a private pilot, her brother now works for the airlines and she has followed in their footsteps.

Defying the odds: Teen pilot shares her passion for flying Piper Angel started flying when she was 9 years old.

LAST CALL: FAA PPL Preparatory Program (Part-Time)

The goal of this program is to allow a Private Pilot License (PPL) candidate to prepare for the FAA PPL by undergoing once-a-week ground-school classes (3 hours per session) and flight sim training classes (1 hour per session) over a 12 week period. At the end of 12 weeks, and upon passing our internal ground and flight assessment tests, the PPL candidate will be able to proceed to Phase II of the training in the USA (or *Australia). Phase II should take no more than 30 flyable days in total.
