Official page of OnePeople.sg Model United Nations (OPMUN) Singapore has always touted itself as a society built upon racial and religious harmony.

OnePeople.sg is a Non-Governmental Organisation promoting racial and religious harmony within Singapore. In a recent study conducted by OnePeople.sg, a organisation founded to promote racial and religious harmony in Singapore, and the Institute of Policy Studies, on the state of racial and religious harmony, it was indeed found that schools and various organisations had indeed been able to inculca

te in the young the importance of racial and religious harmony to a multicultural society like Singapore. However, this survey also found that young Singaporeans lacked ‘interest in intercultural understanding and interaction’. We recognise that this is highly paramount in fostering trust and good relations between different races within Singapore, to form a strong multiracial community here in Singapore, so as to be able to withstand the challenges we face in a volatile world we live in today. As such, we will bring students from various races, religions, and backgrounds together through this project so as to foster this key interest in intercultural understanding and interaction. We hope to inspire them to be able to spark off this interest towards intercultural understanding in other students.

Missed our first tour last month? Fret not! We’ve got more opportunities for you to discover Singapore’s diverse multicultural landscape and uncover more about our local history! 🤗

This time, OPMUN Projects are bringing you on a SECOND tour to the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple! 🛕 Through this tour, participants will learn more about Buddhism, its traditions and practices, and the role of Buddhist culture in Singapore’s rich multicultural heritage.

The programme will also include a dialogue session at the end of the tour, where participants can reflect on what they’ve learnt, ask questions, and engage critically with different perspectives on Buddhism.

Refreshments will also be provided, so don’t miss out! 🫣

From the OPMUN Team, Happy National Day! 🇸🇬🎉  On the 9th of August, we commemorate National Day to celebrate Singapore’s independence in 1965.

This year, Singapore’s 61st National Day Parade is themed - “Majulah Singapore, Go Beyond!”, highlighting the enduring aspirations we carry to keep moving forward and the Singapore Spirit that unites us all, regardless of race, language or religion. 🚀💫
