We're happy to share that our Co-Founder, Hwee Shan, has been featured on Lianhe Zaobao 联合早报 last Sunday (22 May 2022)!

In this in-depth article on coding education in Singapore, she shared her opinions and observations of the coding & computing education scene in Singapore over the past few years, and how coding is a multidisciplinary field that can be greatly enhanced by students' exposure to other school subjects. She also shared about the current trends in the industry, for both young and adult learners.

We are finally going to code in Python! Let's make a simple online form.

Today, we're learning to implement the skills learnt in Scratch to Python. In this lesson, we are going to use Input & Output and Variables to make an online form that takes user's inputs.

Variables are storage places/ containers that store data values. They are extremely useful for storing values like user input, which can be modified later.

Learn to code in 7 days: Ep 1

Remember the last time you had to fill up a form with “What’s your name?”.
And the platform magically says, “Hello, {Name}”...🤔

Today, we’re learning to do just that with Input & Output and Print statements in Scratch. These are the basic building blocks of programming/coding which asks users for their “say” and visually displays an intended response (output) to the user.

In the next lesson, we will implement these same skills learnt to Python!
The real coding will start then 🤪

In conjunction with the Year of Celebrating SG Women, our Co-Founder and Lead Teacher Hwee Shan was featured in a recent news article published on Lianhe Zaobao 联合早报.

In the interview, she shared about her personal journey as a woman in tech, and how she firmly believes that gender would not affect the value that one can bring to the tech industry. She also shared about some community initiatives she had taken part in to inspire more girls to go into tech.
