Dear Friends,
Please consider spending an afternoon with Columbian Guitarist and Harpist Maestro Alvaro Sanchez on Sunday 28th Jan 2024 at Adelphi Building(Dance Studio) as he gives a recital of familiar Chinese New Year Music. There is much satisfaction while appreciating instrumental music played live in a conducive hall. Audience who attended the last Christmas concert enjoyed the intimate up close setting and the enjoyment of listening to a highly skilled musician without any sound amplification and distractions.
There are many beautiful melodies from the Chinese New Year repertoire; Some are catchy and fast while others are slower and pretty. The lyrics often sings of spring time, flowers blooming and the yearning of blessings upon a new year. Maestro Alvaro, embraces the cultural diversity of Singapore with his effort to learn and recreate these melodies on western instruments to contribute to this festival.
Student who studies music may, at some stage, desire to play familiar festive music. Come listen to Maestro’s arrangements of these on Harp and Guitar! Ticket priced at $18; do spread the word around and come with friends and family! Book your tickets now!
Thank You!
