Does a good cause justify a bad act in Islam?

It's important to remember that Allah SWT does not only judge one by their intentions, but also their actions. As Rasulullah ﷺ said:

إن الله لا ينظر إلى صوركم وأموالكم ولكن ينظر إلى قلوبكم وأعمالكم

"Indeed, Allah does not look at your outward form nor your wealth, but He looks at your hearts and your actions."

It is both the hearts and the actions that are being judged.
