At 16, Rebecca Lafferty thought God had ruined her life. Angry about being uprooted from the country she called home, she didn’t want to move to Singapore.

Yet years later, the teachers who helped her find her footing here would inspire her to return, this time as an educator herself.

Today, Rebecca serves at International Community School alongside the mentor who discipled her. Now in her 13th year, Rebecca is also making disciples of all nations in her classroom, investing into the next generation.

Did you know that ICS students from Grades 1 - 8 have surpassed their Spring 2025 scores in Spring 2026?🏆 As our Fall MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) testing window begins, we're excited to keep that momentum going!

🗓️ Dates: Aug 24 – Sept 18, 2026 (Grades 1–8)

How to Prep:
😴 Sleep well & eat a healthy breakfast—the best prep is a well-rested mind!
🧠 No studying needed! MAP is an adaptive diagnostic test, so simply focus and do your best.

📊 What’s Next:

New principal, new energy! ☕️

This morning’s ES Principal Coffee with Mr. Lance Kershner was so refreshing. Sitting in a circle and having a direct, personal Q&A made the morning feel less like a meeting and more like a true community conversation.

Grateful for leadership that listens, shares, and connects. Here’s to a great school year! 🎉

380 youths. 50 churches. 50 volunteers. One night of prayer. 🙏
On August 7, we had the privilege of hosting the inaugural Day of His Power – Youth Edition, organized by LoveSingapore, bringing together young people from churches across Singapore to worship and pray for our nation.

One of the most meaningful moments was seeing intergenerational unity in prayer—youth praying for the generations before them and adults praying over the youth.

Grateful that we could open our doors to serve the wider Church and be part of what God is doing among the next generation.

🏆 Double the Honor, Double the Math Genius! 🏆

Huge congratulations to Jiyoo and Joshua (Class of 2026)! 🎉

In an incredible show of talent and problem-solving skill, both Jiyoo and Joshua tied for the top score and earned medals in the prestigious Euclid Contest, hosted by the University of Waterloo’s Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing.

Written annually by over 25,000 students worldwide, the Euclid Contest pushes participants to combine high school math knowledge with out-of-the-box creative thinking. Its final questions are widely recognized as some of the most complex and challenging in the world—and our Knights tackled them head-on!

We are so proud of your dedication, analytical brilliance, and remarkable achievement.
