Great trainers do more than teach. They inspire, encourage and make learning meaningful. ❤️

This Teachers’ Day, we’re celebrating our CET trainers who make a difference in the learning journeys of our adult learners.

Drawing on their experience, they bring lessons to life with practical insights, encourage new ways of thinking and offer that extra bit of support when it matters most.

And who better to share their impact than the learners themselves? We’re grateful to our learners who took the time to share what their trainers mean to them. Their words say it best. 💬

To all our CET trainers, thank you for your knowledge, patience and passion, and for empowering our learners to keep growing and moving forward.

Happy Teachers’ Day! 👏

Temasek Polytechnic’s management team recently visited Certis for an insightful and enriching learning journey, offering us a glimpse into how AI, technology and innovation are shaping the future of operations and empowering people on the ground. 🤖

From leveraging technology to transform operations and enhance service delivery, to developing the capabilities of its people, the visit provided valuable insights into how Certis continues to innovate and evolve for the future.

It was also wonderful to reconnect with our TP alumni and former colleagues who are now part of the Certis family. Through engaging conversations and the exchange of ideas and experiences, we came away with plenty of insights to reflect on and bring back to TP.

Such exchanges strengthen the bridge between industry and education, creating opportunities to learn from one another and explore how we can better prepare our students for a rapidly evolving workplace.

We look forward to building on this connection and exploring more opportunities for collaboration with Certis. 🤝

Temasek Polytechnic is proud to support Women in Aviation Singapore (WAI-SG) as it celebrates five years of inspiring and empowering women in aviation ✈️

This November, TP will host the 6th edition of WAI-SG’s Girls in Aviation Day (GIAD), where girls aged 8 to 17 can explore the diverse career opportunities across aviation and aerospace and discover the pathways that could take them there.

Since its launch in 2021, GIAD has grown into one of Singapore’s largest aviation outreach events for girls. Last year’s edition saw a record turnout of more than 800 attendees, including over 400 girls, with support from more than 25 partner organisations.

As WAI-SG looks towards its next five years, it continues to strengthen pathways into the industry through mentorship, education and long-term partnerships. With more than 100 mentee graduates, over 20 outreach events and more than 5,000 participants reached over the past five years, WAI-SG is helping the next generation turn their interest in aviation into meaningful opportunities.

TP is glad to be part of this journey and to help inspire more young women to take flight and shape the future of aviation 🌟

Wu Manchao, from Temasek School of Applied Science - Temasek Polytechnic , shares that good nutrition starts with the fundamentals: a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. While supplements can play a useful supporting role for certain individuals, they are not a substitute for nutritious meals.

Wu highlighted that vitamins and minerals have recommended intake levels and safe upper limits, and taking excessive amounts may carry potential health risks. He also encouraged consumers to look beyond claims such as “all-natural” or “scientifically proven”, as these do not necessarily mean a product is safer or more effective.

And eating out does not have to mean eating poorly. What matters is making balanced food choices and getting enough wholegrains, vegetables, fruits and legumes as part of our overall diet 🥗

When in doubt, consulting a doctor, pharmacist or nutritionist can help determine whether a supplement is safe, appropriate and truly needed.

Temasek Polytechnic’s TP Animal Clinic & Wellness partnered with the Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS) to support cat owners as the two-year transition period under Singapore’s Cat Management Framework came to an end 🐱💙

Held on 31 August, the free microchipping event was fully booked, reflecting the growing demand among cat owners ahead of the licensing deadline.

TP’s clinic saw three times as many microchipping appointments over the past two months compared with the same period last year, while other veterinary clinics reported increases of up to eightfold.

For some cat owners, concerns about their pets’ safety and discomfort can make microchipping seem daunting. TP’s veterinary team was on hand to provide guidance and reassurance throughout the process. Microchipping is a safe and routine procedure that provides cats with a permanent form of identification, helping them to be traced and reunited with their owners if they go missing.

From 1 September 2026, it is an offence to keep an unlicensed pet cat in Singapore. Pet cats must be microchipped before owners can apply for a licence.

Through initiatives like this, TP is glad to play a part in supporting responsible pet ownership and helping our feline companions stay safe and identifiable 🐾

Temasek Polytechnic student Muhammad Hazrul is making his mark on the world stage 🏆 At just 18, the Singaporean powerlifter broke the Sub-Junior Men’s 66kg world record at the 2026 IPF World Championships in South Africa, deadlifting an incredible 273kg and finishing second overall in his category.

Hazrul’s journey to the podium was built on more than strength. After discovering powerlifting when he did not make his secondary school’s football team, he spent the next three and a half years training towards his dream of competing at the World Championships.

Along the way, he balanced school, training and part-time work to fund his journey, making sacrifices and pushing through moments of exhaustion and doubt.

With the unwavering support of his family, Hazrul turned years of hard work into a record-breaking moment on the world stage 💪

And he is not stopping there. As he enters the next stage of his powerlifting journey, Hazrul has set his sights on becoming a Junior Under-23 World Champion.
