Our altSchoolers took their animal studies on the road this week with a trip to Gallop Stable. It was more than just a field trip. It gave the children a chance to get up close with animals in a calm, real world setting.
For children with special needs, experiences like this support sensory learning, build confidence, and encourage gentle social interaction at their own pace.

A new year of discovery begins as our explorers step into the magical world of Letterland! 🎢 This week, we kicked off our literacy journey by diving deep into the world of Letter A.
Our students explored the unique sounds of 'a', practiced their handwriting skills to master its form, and went on a hunt for words that begin with this amazing letter. Through hands-on play and guided practice, our little learners are already building a strong foundation for reading.
It was a week full of curiosity, growth, and "apple-solute" fun. We can’t wait to see where our Letterland adventures take us next! 🍎✨

We loved our visit to Curiosity Cove at Mandai Wildlife Reserve with our AltSchool kids.
From hands-on exhibits to open-ended play spaces, there was so much to explore at each child’s own pace.
A special thank you to the Mandai team for arranging a storytelling session for our kids and for the thoughtful accommodations throughout the visit. Having sensory kits available and quiet rooms to retreat to made a real difference when some of our kids needed time to regulate.
Grateful for spaces and partners who take inclusion seriously and make room for every child to enjoy the experience. 💛

From art to games, our students had a fun-filled day honouring Singapore’s birthday!
Our students designed their own tote bags with the national flag, played classic games, and got creative with face and body art—proudly showing off red hearts and flags.
It was a day full of smiles, learning, and celebration. From all of us at AltSchool, Happy National Day!

🚀 This month, our altSchoolers have taken off with the Let’s Be Superheroes! theme! 🦸♂️🦸♀️
From crafting colourful shields and “super vision” magnifying glasses to decorating capes and masks, they brought their superhero gear to life, practicing creativity and fine motor skills along the way. They even completed rescue missions, built strength with homemade dumbbells, and tackled obstacle courses! 💪✨
Our young heroes also explored how to protect the planet by practicing the three Rs and creating sensory “lights” to remind them to save energy. 🌍💡
