Why do some children calculate faster without using a calculator?

Many of them train using abacus-based mental maths — using abacus-based mental training to develop number sense, memory and visualisation.

Our TTA × UCMAS March Holiday Programme for P1–P3 students builds these cognitive skills early, helping children process numbers faster and tackle more complex problem sums with confidence when they reach upper primary.
