Our new school year officially began on 17th August, and what a first day it was! We were thrilled to welcome our new families joining the HIS community for the first time, alongside our returning families starting another year together. Alongside the first-day excitement, we hosted an Information Market where parents could meet and chat with a range of local vendors and partners — a great way to kick things off and get connected. Looking back at the end of the school year, we can’t help but celebrate the incredible energy on June 19th, when we gathered to honour our sports stars and wrap up a phenomenal year of athletics!

From nail-biting matches to fantastic tournament victories, our student-athletes showed immense grit, teamwork, and sportsmanship in every single game.

A massive, well-deserved shoutout goes to our amazing PE Teacher, Mr. Antony! His dedication, endless encouragement, and strategic guidance have been the driving force behind our teams' tremendous growth and outstanding wins this past year. 🎬 And... Action! Group 8 Swaps the Stage for the Silver Screen! 🍿

This past June, our graduating Group 8 class decided to shake things up for their year-end grand finale. Instead of the traditional musical, these creative visionaries chose to produce, direct, and star in their very own short film!

With some wonderful collaborative help from their teachers and fellow students, they brought their cinematic vision to life.

The big premiere at our Movie Night was an absolute triumph! The film was well-loved by everyone in attendance, filling the room with laughs, cheers, and plenty of proud applause. It was the perfect celebration of their creativity, teamwork, and time here at HIS.

A Magical Melody to Close the School Year! 🌸✨

What an absolutely spectacular way to celebrate the end of the year with our annual Spring Concert! Our campus was filled with music, laughter, and incredible energy as our talented students took to the stage.

From beautiful instrumental pieces to lively vocal performances, the kids poured their hearts into every note. Watching their confidence shine under the spotlight was an absolute joy, and a true testament to all their hard work and practice!

The atmosphere was made even more magical by our wonderful community of parents who came out in full support. Seeing the audience filled with proud smiles, cheering, and clapping created such a warm, vibrant, and beautiful environment for our young performers. Milestones like these remind us how special the HIS family truly is.

🌲 Groep 6 Takes Learning into the Forest!

Our Groep 6 students recently wrapped up the school year with an incredible, fully immersive Forest Project! This wasn't just a science lesson it was a complete, student-run enterprise that beautifully combined research, business, and teamwork.

The students took total ownership, dividing themselves into specialised real-world departments:

🎟️The Marketing Team: Strategised, promoted, and sold tickets for the event.

The Finance Team: Handled all the bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial tracking.

The Science Experts: Curated the exhibition and acted as expert guides, taking guests through their deep research on wildlife and nature.

We were honoured to welcome our Acting Principal, Ms. Hennie, who was invited to experience the exhibition firsthand. She was incredibly impressed by the depth of knowledge the students displayed and how confidently they shared their insights about the natural world.

Seeing our students collaborate across science, math, and communication was the perfect celebration of their growth this year. Huge congratulations to Groep 6 for an outstanding year-end project! 👏🦉
