Nearly 200 community participants, supported by 20 staff and 180 student coaches, came together at SEG Community Learning Fest @ NYP 2026.
Through hands-on workshops in AI, robotics, coding, cybersecurity, sustainability and digital fabrication, participants of all ages experienced how technology can enrich lives and strengthen communities.
Beyond sharing technical knowledge, the event provided SEG students with opportunities to step up as mentors, coaches and changemakers—demonstrating that engineering is not only about innovation, but also about creating positive social impact.
At SEG, we believe learning and innovation are most meaningful when they are shared with the community.

Weekdays? She’s busy with engineering classes, projects and robots 🤖
Weekends? She swaps them for worksheets, whiteboards and mentoring younger students 📚✨
While pursuing her interest in engineering at School of Engineering, she spends her weekends tutoring younger students and giving back to the community — proving that success is not just about what you achieve, but how you uplift others along the way.
She’s building more than robots — she’s building futures too. 💙

Students from St Gabriel’s Secondary School recently had the opportunity to explore engineering concepts through a hands-on workshop during their Learning Fiesta.
By learning about aerodynamics, flight principles, and the role of AI in aviation, they gained a glimpse into how engineering shapes the world around us and drives innovation across industries.
For students who find themselves inspired by these experiences and are keen to pursue their interests further, the Early Admissions Exercise (EAE) offers an opportunity to take the next step.
By applying through EAE, students can showcase their passion, aptitude, and potential beyond academic results, which may improve their chances of securing a place with us!
Your journey could begin with EAE 2026.

We were honoured to welcome , Minister of State for Digital Development and Information & Education, to our School of Engineering to witness how NYP is advancing AI innovation through industry collaboration.
One highlight of the showcase was when the GenAI-powered robot tour guide gave MOS Jasmin Lau a humorous response! 😄
During the visit, our students and staff showcased industry-driven AI projects developed with local enterprises to solve real-world challenges across heritage, compliance, and retail:
🤖 A GenAI-powered autonomous concierge and tour guide robot developed with local SME Senserbot for National Heritage Board
🛡️ An AI-powered Compliance Assistant developed with Momentum Z to help SMEs automate compliance processes
🛍️ A real-time AI retail assistant created for Canary Diamond to support customer engagement and organisational learning
The visit highlighted NYP’s role in helping enterprises adopt AI while developing AI-ready talent through authentic industry learning experiences.
