Happy to learn that my students who sat for the N and O levels exams last year have all done well. A came to me with a consistent F grade for English. She hated the language and did not know how to improve. C and K came later in the year, almost too late I thought. But they worked hard and applied all the techniques taught to them. When the results were released, it was good to see that they have all made a 2-3 band improvement. That's the best news ever. With the good results, they can now move onto the tertiary institution of their choice. And that made my day. That's what I'm here for.

Reading and writing lessons are ongoing. At the writing chamber, we believe in pushing reading. Children don't read nowadays. Every lesson starts off with reading, be it a short story or a news article. Then we leverage on technology to get the students to think. Here, we use padlet to ask questions for all students to answer. Having analysed the story, students now write their own. We want these kids to do well for their upcoming O level exams!
