With the introduction of the Well-being Ambassador Programme earlier this year, more funds have been allocated to tighten the bonds between teammates while enriching their wellness.

The Corporate Affairs team and secretaries tried their hands at lampworking, a therapeutic yet challenging form of creative expression, taking home a mini vase of handmade glass flowers 💐

After lunch, they had an exciting albeit exhausting time playing Floor is Lava, Devil's Eye, and Tip Top in groups of three, practising coordination and agility. The team then headed to Cj Hendry's Flower Market for an immersive art experience before dinner.

It was a fun-filled day to unwind and create shared memories!

On 26 May, we had a celebratory dinner to appreciate the HYROX participants who represented Woh Hup and our partnered trainers who got them into shape leading up to April.

After an address by Executive Director Mr Yong Derong, the lively dinner commenced, punctuated by a montage from the race days and exciting stage games! 🏋️ During the recognition segment, the best HYROX singles and teams were also rewarded with Decathlon gift cards.

Well-being and fitness are a big part of Woh Hup, and we can't wait for the next challenge! 💪

13 of our staff joined the 11th edition of Football With A Heart (FWAH) as a corporate team representing Woh Hup, partaking in the friendly competition at the National Stadium with other teams for a good cause ⚽

FWAH is Singapore Pools' flagship charity fundraising initiative that seeks to uplift communities in need through the power of sports and unity. This year marks our third consecutive year as a Gold Sponsor, and fourth year supporting this meaningful event.

Our JCU project team spent 3 days at Kuala Lumpur and Genting Highlands for a respite from work, building stronger friendships and team spirit through the journey and activities (in uniform and PPE too, no less)! 😂

At Batu Caves, many took on the challenge to conquer the 272 colourful steps while learning about the cultural and religious significance of the site. This was especially meaningful as it prompted conversations about one another's cultures and traditions among the multi-national team.

The group of 29 then headed up to Genting Highlands, exploring the attractions, enjoying the cool weather, and sharing meals together. The relaxed environment encouraged more interaction between team members who seldom work closely. Overall, the trip helped foster a more cohesive and collaborative JCU team!

Prior to completing their internship at Woh Hup, our civil engineering interns at P105 and CR106 gave a presentation to Executive Director Mr Yong Derong and some WHEPL team leads. Sharing their journey as site engineers, design engineers and M&E coordinators, they gave constructive feedback about the programme and had the opportunity to ask questions during the intimate session with management.

Garnering insights from young talents allows us to improve our internship programmes, bridging academic learning and industry practice to better suit their needs.

On 21 May, we hosted 22 of our interns from NTU, NUS and SUSS to celebrate the end of their internship journey with us. From laughter‑filled sharing of memorable moments to an insightful Q&A with our Chairman, Mr Kim Yong, it was a session of reflection and inspiration.

His message was clear – be determined, consistent and persistent but most importantly, have a genuine passion for the Built Environment industry and a heart to contribute back to society.

Thank you to all our interns for your energy and openness – we’re excited to see where your journey takes you next! ✨

When she finds the time, Yak See chooses to volunteer as a break from daily work, rather than see it as an extra task. Being able to give back to the community helps her stay grounded and connected, like a mental reset.

She fondly recalls when she volunteered at a nursing home where the residents showed how they appreciated simple conversations and the companionship of people who genuinely cares. The immediate heartfelt impact reminds her that small acts of kindness collectively create meaningful change.

Design engineers serve as the bridge between consultants and the site team, providing viable solutions that are both practical on site and compliant to the design requirement.

Senior Design Engineer Yan Ru spends her day coordinating with different departments and sub-contractors to ensure the project runs smoothly, a task involving lots of inter-disciplinary discussions. Teamwork is necessary to reach a common goal, so having like-minded colleagues who are a joy to be around helps!
