[GESS Excursions] This year’s Language Trip to France took 12 GESS students to Montpellier for two unforgettable weeks of language immersion and cultural discovery! 🇫🇷

Mornings were spent strengthening their French skills in language classes, while afternoons offered opportunities to explore the city, experience local culture, and practise French in authentic, everyday situations 🌍🗣️

From new friendships and cultural encounters to growing confidence in the language, the trip provided students with a valuable experience beyond the classroom and a memorable way to conclude the school year! 🌟

[GESS Academics] Our students learned that baking is more than just following a recipe, it's science in action!

Through hands-on baking activities, students explored the role of different ingredients, learned about nutrition, and gained a deeper understanding of how food fuels our bodies 🥣🌟

[GESS BeyondClassrooms] What does it take to turn an idea into a book you can hold in your hands?

Our students recently explored this question during an engaging workshop series led by author Lena Anlauf and illustrator Vitali Konstantinov in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut 🌟

Through interactive sessions, students discovered the journey of a book from the first spark of inspiration to the final printed page, gaining insights into writing, illustration, publishing, and the creative process behind storytelling.

To conclude the workshops, students put their own creativity into action by designing unique animal illustrations and bringing their ideas to life 🎨📖

A heartfelt thank you to Lena Anlauf, Vitali Konstantinov, and the Goethe-Institut Singapore for inspiring our students and offering a fascinating glimpse into the world of books and publishing!

[GESS Community] Our Middle School students came together for a fun-filled evening of activities, friendly competition, and time spent with friends outside the classroom. Tthe event was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen friendships and build community! 💫

[GESS BeyondClassrooms] Our Grade 11 Business Management students recently visited ALBA E-Waste Recycling and Virogreen, gaining first-hand insights into how businesses can create meaningful impact while remaining financially sustainable!

Through engaging discussions and site visits, students explored concepts such as social enterprise, sustainability, and responsible business practices, seeing how classroom learning connects to real-world challenges and solutions 🌟

The experience also highlighted the importance of recycling and responsible waste management, encouraging students to think critically about the role individuals and organisations play in building a more sustainable future.
