Hi Nanyang!
Do you have containers like these at home that you have no use for? You can now donate them to family bakery Sistersfield which will use them to sell their Chinese New Year snacks! Give these containers a second life and reduce waste of resources!
Simply drop them off at the Backyard Cafe any time during the December holidays. Note: just the small containers will do, not the large ones. Thank you for your support!

Caterpillars of the Painted Jezebel butterfly spotted in our garden. The eggs are laid on the Common Malayan Mistletoe plants, which are hemiparasites (parasitic plants which derive water/nutrients from the hosts and are photosynthetic themselves). The Mistletoe plants are growing off the stem of the Mulberry plant.

"She credits her love for nature to her mentor, an experiential learning specialist at Nanyang Girls’ High School. To get materials to build a student-run experiential learning cafe, the teacher single-handedly sourced for chopped wood and enlisted the help of students to build the cafe together."
Xiao Tong is one of the founding members of the backyard project. So proud of her!
